Mali House

Mali house was very central to most things in Luang Prabang, with the morning market right outside the front door. The room was small but was enough room for just two people and the shower was great - good water pressure and hot water; a luxury in most of Laos. The coffee shop owned by Andy and Venus made the best coffee we had in Luang Prabang (not included with the room but well worth the price). We loved making use of our balcony in the afternoon and evenings and for being right in the morning market, the noise was reasonably blocked out by the shutters.

The location. It is very near the night market, food court and restaurants. And a short walk to most tourist attraction and Mekong riverside to enjoy the sunset

Too near the morning market. Pros and Cons. Pros - Breakfast and snacks are easily accessible within a few steps away. Cons - you will pass by stalls selling fishes and meat.

Andy and Venus are excellent hosts. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive to all your needs. The location is excellent, right along the morning market and within walking distance to most points of interest. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner is great and really helpful. I also appreciated the bed and hot water. Location is perfect. It's not a five star hotel but it is a good value. I would stay there again.

Our room faced directly onto the morning market but you wouldn’t know it until you opened the doors to a lovely little courtyard. Room was clean, cooling systems good, hot water fine. Staff are very accommodating, with host Andy giving us a few IT tips.

It’s a.minor issue but the room was quite compact and although there is shelving, we’d have liked a bit more floor space.

Andy was super kind and helpful! Had great recommendations for the area and very reachable.
