Swan Lake Habarana

Estaba muy limpio, muy amables los dueños, el sitio es realmente bonito con un grandísimo jardín, el desayuno y la cena espectacular , todo muy rico. El dueño se preocupaba de explicarte todos los diferentes platos, incluso como se hacían. También nos enseñó su jardín.

From start to finish, our stay at Swan Lake was absolutely phenomenal. This place is a must-stay if you're looking to stay in Habarana. Kalhara and his family were so warm, friendly, and accommodating. Throughout our stay, he made sure we were well looked after, dropping us off and picking us up around Habarana. He helped us arrange public buses and rent bicycles so we could explore the Cultural Triangle. He also drove us early one morning so my partner and I could experience sunrise at Pidurangala Rock, as well as arranging a private safari tour in Minneriya National Park with a guide who had 21 years of experience. It was an unforgettable experience to witness “The Gathering,” the largest gathering of Asian elephants in the world. In addition, Kalhara arranged for us to attend an authentic Sri Lankan cultural performance featuring traditional Sinhala dances, fire breathing, and fire walking, which was another highlight of our trip and gave us a wonderful insight into the local culture. Lastly, the breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Every day was different and authentically Sri Lankan. We will, for certain, be staying here again the next time we're in Habarana. Nothing, everything was absolutely perfect!

Swan Lake is a fantastic family business & the hosts made us feel really well looked after during our stay. We were collected from the station & Kalhara was always on hand with a smile, to make our stay extra special & tailored to suit our needs - nothing was too much trouble! Kalhara assisted us with our safari tour & lots of other recommendations.The breakfast each morning was fantastic Sri-Lankan, homemade cuisine. The rooms were really clean with a hot shower & comfortable beds.

Kalhara was super helpful during our stay & nothing was too much trouble. At times, this was a little intense for us, with elevated pricing but others may appreciate having everything planned for ease. Kalhara’s enthusiasm is notable.

Our stay was amazing at Swan Lake Hotel. The owner of the hotel Kalhara was super friendly and very caring and in addition, he has the biggest heart that anyone could have. 🫶🏻❤️ The restaurant place is in a quiet location near beautiful rice fields. We went on kayaking trip at the lake and it was an unforgettable experience. The rice fields after passing the village is a must to visit and is around a hundred KM. Plenty of birds and a stunning green landscape. For whoever wanna stay anywhere nearby HABARANA, this is the best place to stay..

The host was charming and very welcoming. He fulfilled all of our requests and even went above and beyond. He organized a safari and an Ayurveda massage for us at excellent prices and offered to drive us everywhere. We had a superb dinner at his place, prepared by his wife, and a wonderful, varied, home-cooked breakfast. The rooms were very spacious and very clean, with hot water in the shower. The room was clean and the owner was very friendly and supportive. The owners offered to cook traditional Sri Lankan home-style dinners both nights we stayed. They helped us with organising the Echo Park safari by providing the jeep and driver. Only a 30 min drive to Sigiriya.

Lovely family owned and operated accommodation. Three large rooms, modern, good shower and location. Fantastic home cooked meals, better than dining out, easily the best dinner we've had in Sri Lanka. Peaceful garden setting outside and cool air conditioning inside. Our hosts, Kalhara and his lovely wife were amazing. Very attentive while still allowing us privacy. Genuine Sri Lankan family experience.
