Train View Villa

The managing couple, their daughter, and the warm aged uncle (who provided the onsite caretaker role) were all very attentive and sincere and sought to ensure that everything was as required. Breakfast and evening meals were consistently good. The private bathroom was generously sized, the bed was comfortable, and the room and house were quiet. The home is along an unsealed thoroughfare just off the road to Nanu Oya and folk in neighbouring houses were friendly. There was a distinct sense of being authentically part of a small local neighbourhood and there were memorable mornings on the balcony looking out at the ranges and plantations. The wifi was a good connection.

A few aspects of the interior would benefit from a little upgrading (the fit of the doors, a bit of a rev-up of the kitchen, mosquito nets perhaps) but overall it felt like a genuine local home.

Il gestore della villa è stato super gentile, ci ha aspettato fino alle 23 e preparato un' ottimo curry. Le tre stanze del primo piano condividono un bagno molto basico. La casa si trova in un posto ameno ma molto vicino alla stazione. Comodo se devi prendere il treno per Ella presto la mattina.

Il letto cigolava ed era duro.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable

There's no staff there and I wasn't given a contact number, it's in a remote location so it feels a little vulnerable as a solo traveller. They don't supply any water or a kettle and there's nowhere nearby to buy any, so bring your own. Someone comes in the morning to make breakfast and waits for you to eat so they can leave again. Another uncle pops in in the evening, both the staff are very nice but I wouldn't stay here again. Whoever owns this place hasn't given any consideration to guest comfort, in terms of plug sockets, lighting, space for clothes , ability to air out the damp room etc etc.

Das Internet ging nicht, die Dusche kann man keine Dusche nenne, denn es ist nur ein Hahn und bei dem Klima kein Genuss. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und das Frühstück war ok, wurde am ersten Tag aber noch zuverlässig organisiert.

I like there food chicken fried rice and the English breakfast. And host Mr. Haran is very friendly and very nice . And quiet place . Walking distance from the railway station.
