Domaine Malika - Adults Only

Refined villa in a lush valley close to the Atlas Mountains . We had a generous first floor room with terrace and mountain view, nicely decorated and with all amenities. Just one remark about the hard mattress. The house is full of delicate vintage furniture, and has a laid back atmosphere, with 2 swimming pools, one heated. The manager is discretely present to attend all wishes. Breakfast and dinner are served in the greenhouse or outside when summer comes. A huge garden full of plants and olive trees invites for a stroll. We had a great stay !

As good as all the reviews state. From the minute we walked in to the moment we left, our stay was perfect. We arrived late evening and the fire in reception had been lit just to welcome us. This great hospitality continued throughout our stay. Transfers went smoothly and the Mountains hike organised by the hotel was amazing. The food was excellent as was our room. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The pool area is lovely, but feel like more could be made of it! Also, the hiking tour of the Atlas Mountains that the hotel arranged for us with a local guide was fantastic. It was definitely home cooking rather than a restaurant but the food was really tasty!

It felt like the decor needed a huge update, it felt very old fashioned. Also, there wasn’t really any staff around during the day for help with getting any refreshments - would have been great to have someone down near the pool area and it looked like there was space down there to have a bar/snack area. I would also consider creating a bit more atmosphere for the evening dinners, it was VERY quiet when having dinner and it felt awkward at times!

This is a beautiful hotel in the Atlas Mountains. The room was luxurious, food plentiful and amazingly presented. The pool area was a peaceful haven. The staff were kind and friendly. Plenty to do in the local area but also a very lovely place to relax. It has a stylish retro Moroccan design that works very well.

Domaine Malika is set in a beautiful location surrounded by the High Atlas mountains. We combined our stay there with 3 days in Marrakech (1hour 15min drive through lovely scenery). We were met at the hotel entrance by Khalid who was a continued helpful and smiley presence throughout our stay. He helped us to plan an itinerary for our stay. This included a luxurious Hamman spa afternoon (we've never felt so clean or relaxed) and a guided trek on mules across the national park. We could not have done this by ourselves and the local guide, Mohammed, was extremely knowledgeable about the area. The trek included sharing mint tea and snacks at his Berber home. We visited about a month after the earthquake and are so glad we didn't cancel - it was inspiring to see how the local people have pulled together to help each other and ensure the children still receive schooling. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, although the swimming pool was not heated (they are currently building another one). The only sounds we heard were the call for prayer and cockerels crowing! The food was delicious and plentiful. Domaine Malika was a perfect retreat after a busy few days in Marrakech.

We were first apprehensive to come here only a month after the earthquake. But Domaine Malika was completely unaffected and worth every penny. Beautiful grounds, great service and food, and a slightly quirky interior. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was great, dinner was great, breads always warm and delicious. Fantastic service and beautiful location

The beds were very hard - would recommend swapping them out.
