"Somewhat pretentious "Boutique Hotel""

This is a luxury priced hotel. For this to be acceptable, they would need to improve their amenities and services. The location is certainly very pleasant and quiet. My room in a garden house was very acceptable, large and well appointed. The WiFi performance in the room was terrible, which in this day and age should not be the case. I could only send data from the lobby. The owners are rule driven. There is a list of obvious rules to comply with. On the day of departure, I could not pay by card as their card machine was said "not to be working". This was the 3rd out of 5 hotels with malfunctioning card machines, somewhat too much of a coincidence. My suspicion is that they want cash. I did not have enough cash and had to pay with UK£ at a terrible rate of exchange. I think such greediness is not called for when Morocco needs tourism right now after the earthquake. On balance, Malika need to much improve to be a truly pleasant luxury experience.

the facilities and staff. the staff were so attentive and friendly. when I didn’t feel well they made me specific tea to soothe. furthermore they actually gave us a free room upgrade too. literally couldn’t have asked for more from them!

the only improvement I would make is having a little more variety of TV channels as the place was so relaxing it would have been good to have a smart TV as advertised.

The hotel is beautiful - both the interior and the grounds. The atmosphere is relaxing with wood fires and gentle jazz music. The staff are friendly and the food was delicious. We had a hammam and massage with Amina on the last day with was also excellent. One of the most stylish, relaxed hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
