Kasbah Maktob Tamnougalt

Mustafa was charming - welcoming and helpful, interesting and entertaining. The food was the best we had in our ten days in Morocco.

Be aware that the kasbah is a short walk from the parking. It is one of the few standing kasbah in a czar that is mostly in ruin. One you get there though you will be taken by the magic of the place, the kindness of the host and the beautiful view of the gardens below. Walk around and visit the village. All worth it!

Merveilleux! En immersion dans une kasbah du XVIie au milieu d un village en ruines.. On se retrouve dans un autre temps... et Mustafa est d une grande gentillesse ! Dîner, nuit étoilée observée sur le toit, pdj , tout était super.. LE plus pittoresque des logis que j ai dit au Maroc de tous mes séjours ds ce beau pays..

This is the most amazing place!! Do yourself a favour and book here! We were blown away by it. The most welcoming and friendly owner, Mustafa, has painstakingly restored an ancient mud building and decorated it so well you feel like you are stepping back in time! We were just mesmerised. Dinner and breakfast were also the best we had in Morocco and they are taken on the most delightful terrace overlooking the palmery. The roof terrace was wonderful too! Mustafa met us in the car park to guide us to the Kasbah, where you literally walk through ruins to get to his amazing place. Kasbah des Caids was so quiet and peaceful to explore and a 2 minute walk from Kasbah Maktob. I would recommend a guide to make the most of it. We were so sad to only be staying for one night and will be making a point of staying for 2/3 when we return to Morocco one day.

Cet établissement est vraiment exceptionnel tant par sa localisation, sa décoration, l’accueil de Mustafa et la qualité des repas. C’est vraiment une expérience rare d’avoir la chance de séjourner au cœur de cette kasbah.

Wij hadden de prachtige familiekamer met terras met echt onvoorstelbaar mooi uitzicht. Eigenaar exceptioneel vriendelijk. Uitstekend eten voor klein prijsje.
