Vibe way (Hostel & Market farm)

Good place to stay in Nuwara Eliya. Host was really friendly and helpful with good knowledge and tips for activities. Beds were comfortable and house is located 10-15 minutes walk from city center or lake.

Beware it could be quite cold in Nuwara Eliya

Really quiet location but close to the town centre, just a 10 min walk. The dorms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable! At night it gets cold in Nuwara Eliya but they give you good blankets to cover so it’s just perfect :) the owner will help you to organise tours and transfers and has lot of knowledge about the area

Beds, rooms, living rooms, bathrooms, location, silence were good and liked it..

No handwash in bathroom and only single bathroom for all 8+ bunkers. No water filter - filter water. Asked to drink tap water. Or pay for water. No Bf - i dnt want breakfast but pure water was not given.. Thats basic.. I drank tap water. But i read about local news about drinking water. I was not sure. Heard for using tap water one guy fall sick in nuweraeliya. No towel given. And it was told kitchen is available. But there was no gas connection. It was removed. He was eager to collect money. Travellers will stay here, if they fall sick, its bad. There will be more solo travellers. Its bad to use tap water. "FunkBunk-By the rever" stay in Kandy was awesome. I am thankfull to them. I will never forget that place.

Perfect homestay! Hottest shower I’ve had in my whole 7 months of Asia travel and it stayed hot!!!! For the shower alone 10/10!! Beds very comfy and warm for night time, nice big room with 2 double beds and private bathroom. They do onsite laundry for cheap and not charge by individual Item which was a bonus, clothes line dry so next day all folded and at our door. The host organised pick up and drop off for the train station at a much cheaper price than an uber/tuktuk/pickme. So recommend organising with them. It cost us 2000 rupees in total for pickup and drop off as couple. Host provided list of information on what to do and tours. We booked the Horton park tour with the hostel and shared a van with two others that had checked in the same day to make it cheaper. The hike was so worth it. Total of 9kms and you get picked up at 5am. We also did the tea plantations and waterfall tour which I also recommend. Host can organise it all for you. I would absolutely stay here again. Host was absolutely amazing and he made sure we felt right at home. He is very good at communicating via WhatsApp and very responsive. The drivers he organised for our tours and train pick up were so nice so if you can a little tip will go along way.
