Kandyan Rest

The accomodation is located close to the National park. The room was clean and the host was kind and arranged everything for us. He organised a tuk tuk and a Safari and we got a good dinner at the accomodation. It was a perfect stay with a perfect host and a beautiful safari.

Amazing place with all the conveniences that you need very close to the national park. The owner organized a safari for us and came with us as a guide and pointed out many animals.

Toller Gastgeber, sehr saubere Unterkunft!!! Es liegt etwas abgelegen, aber wenn man eine Safari machen möchte perfekt. Es gibt nicht viel in der Umgebung außer einem kleinen Laden, in der Dunkelheit sollte man nicht alleine raus, da es zu Elefantenbegegnungen kommen kann. Der Gastgeber hat sich als kostenloser Guide für die Safari angeboten und eine sehr günstige Safari organisiert. Es muss definitiv nichts vorher gebucht werden, er organisiert alles zu einem sehr guten Preis. Wir konnten spontan eine Nacht länger bleiben, weil wir doch die Abendsafari gemacht haben auf Empfehlung. Das hat sich sehr gelohnt, wir haben unzählige Elefanten hautnah sehen können, auch Baby-Elefanten. Außerdem gab es immer die Möglichkeit etwas zu essen in der Unterkunft!

Alles top, ein kleiner Tisch im Zimmer wäre sicher nicht schlecht, aber für den Preis wirklich unschlagbar!!!

Tolle, ruhige Lage, trotzdem nah am Nationalpark, Straße hört man gar nicht. Die Einrichtung war schön und sauber, insgesamt sehr gemütlich. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und hilfreich und hat uns eine toll Tour durch den Nationalpark organisiert. Das Essen war auch lecker.

We had a very good stay! The host helped us with the busses (there are busses from Ella to the place and to Sigiriya). They also cooked very good food and we had a stunning safari organised by the host. Highly recommend!

Schone locatie. Vriendelijke ontvangst met een drankje en hartelijk personeel. Fijn terras.

Lastig communicatie met de familie en de eigenaar. Familie is enorm vriendelijk maar spreken geen Engels. De eigenaar sprak wel Engels maar was alleen telefonisch bereikbaar.

Fantastic stay after our visit to the National Park We stayed here for one night after visiting the National Park, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this place. We were traveling with two children and had a wonderful stay. In the evening, we had a long and pleasant conversation with the owner outside, after which he surprised us with a delicious à la carte dinner. The next morning, a generous breakfast was waiting for us — beautifully prepared down to the smallest detail. The interior also deserves a special mention: tastefully decorated, full of atmosphere, and with great attention to detail. Not your typical, plain hotel room, but a warm and charming space with beautiful furniture. Everything was also spotlessly clean. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay in this region. The owner sometimes also offers guided tours through the National Park — definitely worth asking about! In short: highly recommended!

The beds were firm. I don't care but some people might prefer softer beds.
