Riad NayaNour

Firstly i would like to thank the amasing staff. The place in absolutely beautiful and spotless very clean and the rooms are beautiful too. the Breakfast is so good too and there is so many nice spots in the riad to sit and chill.

De locatie was iets lastig te bereiken want je moest door wat steegjes lopen. Maar dat is het meer dat waard. De riad is echt supermooi en het personeel is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Als je ergens heen wilt bijvoorbeeld komen ze met tips en ideeen en alles word geduldig uitgelegd.

Ik vond het jammer dat er geen strijkijzer was. Want je kleren gaan behoorlijk kreuken in je koffer. Daardoor moesten we vaak met gekreukte kleding uit eten of gaan stappen. Daarnaast had de douche bijna geen druk waardoor het douchen wat lastig was.

Our stay at Riad NayaNour was so lovely. The Riad is very beautiful and well equipped, the breakfast and food were amazing and the staff was the kindest staff we ever had. Breakfast on the upstairs terrace is really pleasant, but the food is very bread and pastry heavy, and the quality varies from day to day. The riad is in a central location which allows easy access to most places on foot. The staff on site speak good English and are very helpful, but can't overcome to fundamental issues with the property. There is a multitude of choice for riads. We had friends stay in another very nearby which was much nicer and significantly cheaper. There are better options.

We had a three night stay at the Nayanour, and things weren't promising in the lead up to arriving. The website encourages guests to contact the riad with enquiries about reservations and excursions. All mine went completely unanswered. Except the one asking about additional rooms for friends... Unfortunately, despite a swanky page in English on the website, the manager (who incidentally is NEVER onsite) can't speak a word of it, so just ignores any enquiries in English. When I wrote in French, I had more luck. So be warned. We booked the "Presidential Suite", and there was nothing Presidential or luxurious about it. It was comfortable, with a private terrace and downstairs sitting area, but the price was similar to a luxury hotel in central London. I suspect that Marrakech is having "a moment" which has emboldened locals to charge prices at which they simply can't deliver the expected level of service. Housekeeping keep it spotlessly clean, but the shower was laughably awful. It was a hand held shower head permanently fixed extremely high on the wall. Consequently, neither the height nor the angle could be adjusted, and the water pressure was a dribble. Definitely not luxury.
