Villa Gaetano Unawatuna

EVERYTHING! Best vibe in Sri Lanka. The hosts deserve a ⭐️ for their hospitality and helpfulness! The best place we have ever stayed..!

That we had to leave.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Villa Gaetano. It’s in a quiet area away from the main resort of Unawatuna which is what we wanted. There are a few restaurants within walking/tuk tuk distance as well and the accommodation offers dinner options although we didn’t have dinner there. We did have breakfast each morning which was a mix of Western and Sri Lankan, slightly different each morning, tasty and generous. On arrival we received a refreshing welcome drink and greeted by Melani and her friendly staff. She told us we had been upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom, air conditioning, a hairdryer, fridge and kettle.The pool area is clean and well maintained and an enjoyable place to relax and cool off. Extra towels are provided. The garden area is beautiful and relaxing. The main town/beach area is about a mile away and accessible by walking along the main road or tuk tuk. There are nearby train stations Unawatuna (walkable) and Talpe (650 in a tuk tuk). We took a train to Galle from Unawatuna which was very cheap (20 LKR each) and only 2 stops. We used pick me on arrival to the accommodation but Melani organised our tuk tuk to Talpe when we checked out. Payment is cash only

We loved the room and the facilities. Especially watching all the animals in the garden was very peaceful. The hosts are lovely people, and the breakfast was delicious. They cleaned our room in between our stay so that was lovely as well and helped us arrange the taxi to the airport. Would definitely recommend

The cleanliness and the state of the facility are the best we had in our three weeks trip through Sri Lanka. We used the pool in the evening and that was very pleasant. The food is freshly prepared and kudos to the top family team who made us feel very welcome.

Крутое расположение удобно добираться от станции Унаватуна. Большая территория на которой есть гамак, бассейн, и красивая природа. Жили в новом номере который только построили, все продумано, горячая вода, вид со 2 этажа. Завтраки невероятные, много фруктов, омлет, кофе и разная выпечка. Хозяин гостеприимный, вежливый и добрый. Рассказал, что можем посетить, быстро отвечал на просьбы, однозначно рекомендую вам посетить это прекрасное место и пожить в нем! Фотографии соответствуют жилью

Die Gastgeber sind sehr lieb und bieten einem jede Hilfe an. Das Grundstück ist riesig mit einem tollen Pool und wunderschönen Garten. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker und es waren immer große Portionen.

Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Wir waren mit einem Kleinkind unterwegs und es war perfekt adaptiert. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und wir haben zahlreiche Tiere gesehen (Affen, Varane, Eichhörnchen, Fische, Vögel) Es war ein wirklich schöner Moment mit der Familie.
