Villa Gaetano Unawatuna

Für uns war es der Beste Aufenthalt den wir auf unserer vier wöchigen Reise hatten. Gamini und seine Tochter Melani sind zwei der nettesten Menschen überhaupt. Man fühlt sich Teil der Familie und einem werden viele Wünsche erfüllt. Das Grundstück bietet sehr viel unberührte Natur und man kann viele Tiere beobachten. Nicht zu vergessen der neue Pool in dem man toll Bahnen schwimmen und relaxen kann. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und sehr zufrieden stellend. Wenn ihr die Möglichkeit habt solltet ihr das hauseigene Curry essen - das war super lecker und hat uns sehr zugesagt.

Fantastisch hotel met een prachtige tuin, een heerlijk zwembad en super vriendelijke mensen! De kamer en badkamer waren zeer ruim en netjes! Hele fijne douche en het eten was ook top!

La location è bellissima, stanze grandi, un bellissimo giardino con gli scoiattoli un laghetto con i pesci e una piscina appena rifatta. Lo staff è super super accogliente e la cucina top. Il posto migliore della nostra vacanza

Purtroppo è un po isolato

Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt. Prachtige tuin en ruime schone kamers. Zeker een aanrader.

Er werd gewerkt aan het zwembad, konden we daardoor niet gebruiken. We kregen wel de gelegenheid om het zwembad bij naastgelegen hotel te gebruiken, dus prima opgelost. Locatie is wat verder van Unawatuna en de stranden, dus wel altijd tuktuk nodig.

great garden and easy vibe to enjoy the good life, very helpful staff with good food

Undoubtedly the warmest welcome we have experienced in many years of holidays.. Owner Melani, her husband and their staff (Bavee is a real hero) are so friendly and really do everything to make you feel at home. Our apartment was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. The garden is a gem. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The only downside I can mention is that the sun loungers by the pool need replacing. The villa is quietly located, 5 minutes by tuktuk to the center of Unawatuna or the beaches (the hotel's tuktuk service costs you 600 LKR). We are at the beginning of our roundtrip through Sri Lanka. Still 8 hotels to go but we fear that the best stay is already behind us: the fantastic Villa Gaetano!

The people here were very friendly and kind. Our children had a great time here as there is a very big garden to explore.

This guesthouse is in a tropical paradise, surrounded by lush trees and SO much nature and wildlife. The gardens are beautifully kept and so peaceful. The only sounds are from the birds in the trees. This guesthouse is a 10 min drive to the main part or Unawatuna and away from the crowds. The pool is fab. Melani (owner) and her team are amazing- it’s a family affair and they are so attentive. They have tuk tuks and are happy to drive you around Unawatuna at a fee. The breakfast and dinner is delicious and freshly cooked. The kids loved spotting the monkey’s, monitor lizards, chipmunks and birds every day. We will definitely be back.
