Villa Gaetano Unawatuna

Host was amazing and the villa very relaxing! We noticed some little monkeys on the morning which was an amazing experience for our kid.

Fantastic breakfast, such helpful hosts and the grounds are stunning. Having monkeys, monitor lizards, squirrels and the sound of birds all around you was incredible. We so valued staying slightly further inland as it meant you could go and retreat after the beach in a busy little town.

There was no hot water but we did get used to it.

Lovely place in idyllic setting. Staff were so kind and accommodating. Breakfast and evening meal were both delicious. Swimming pool was very inviting and we saw monkeys whilst in the garden.

Location was perfect for us as we had car but may be bit far out for some - still close to Galle and amenities thoughand no need to go out for food as the meals you could purchase were great value and v tasty.

The room was one of the best we’ve seen in Srilanka and this is the second time we visit the country. Comfy beds, good mosquito nets, welcome drink, clean room, clean bathroom, attentive staff… we didn’t use the pool because we d us not have time but it seemed a nice pool. The owner speaks good English and she was lovely. The silence at night was amazing The room smells amazing ( taking in consideration that that’s a weird thing in Srilanka where most of the hotels have musty smell

Is a bit far from town so taking a tuktuk can be tricky because is a remote street but the staff called tuktuks a for us

Beautiful location, green lushy garden and perfect accomodation: clean spacious and well-maintained. Lot of wildlife in garden

Location is somewhat far from village

Very friendly staf. They got up at 5.00 am to prepare a breakfast for us while we were goinig to the airport. Beautiful garden and pool in where you can relax.
