Warm and welcoming place. The host was extremely supportive with any ask or question. I could also leave my luggage after check out. Sri Lankan breakfast was very tasty. As seems rarely the case here it is worth to mention that wifi is working very good!

Good internet, hot shower, different cooked breakfast every day.

Second stay here. Lovely place currently expanding to add additional rooms and a restaurant with bar, due for completion in the next month or so. Lovely owner who is focused on ensuring guests have a great stay in Hiriketiya.

We had a very nice and comfortable stay, despite the heavy rains. Great spacious, very new, clean and well decorated room which was so comfortable that we extended our stay to 9 nights to sit out the rain. Conveniently located, only 5 minutes walk to either Hiriketiya or Dickwella beaches. Grocery shop, beer store, bars and restaurants all in short walking distance. Very friendly and hard working owner who keeps the place very clean and serves you nice breakfast daily. Soon there will be a nice restaurant on the second floor with local and Italian food (he might be an expert in Italian food as he lived there for many years). Definitely a very comfortable and quiet place.

Loved our stay at Verona D’Oro! Our room and bathroom were VERY clean and the manager was very kind. A big plus is the breakfast: every day something different and very tasty! The location was also very convenient. Less than 5 minutes walking to the first bus stop, and roughly 10 minutes walking to the beautiful Hiriketiya beach front.

There were a few holes in the mosquito net. Nothing major, but we did get a little bitten at night (however, difficult to avoid, wherever you stay! ;-)).

This place is amazing! We loved our stay here. The room is big and we were happy with the big bed and the clean bathroom. It was all very comfortable. The AC worked well and was a good distance away from the bed. The host is so sincere and lovely. We stayed three nights and had a different (delicous) breakfast everyday. We ate somethings we never would have tried. Also the location is great, there is a supermarket, a restaurant in the same street and the beach at the end of the street. Would recommend staying here!!

Great location- 1/2 way between beach and main shopping strip. Was clean and our host is so friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend staying here.

very clean place,good bed, bathroom is nice, everything seemed new. owner lent me his scooter to go grab some food and also took me to the bus station in the morning...free of charge,just being kind

The location is very good,close to is great beach. The owner is very nice and helpful. The room is very good.

The breakfast was a little poor.

The place is just in the middle between Dickwella and Hiriketiya beach and I loved it. It's very clean and the stuff is helpful. The room was huge and comfortable. Highly recommended.
