Riad 5 GÉNÉRATIONS

This is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away from the chaos of the souks, the 5 Generations Riad is like a secret oasis of calm. They helped us with organising an airport transfer, then welcomed us with tea and biscuits. Our room was breathtaking with a ceiling which rivalled those in the Bahia Palace. We loved the breakfasts, and everyday a little bird would be singing in the courtyard. We enjoyed chatting to the staff who were so friendly and helpful. We spent time on the roof terrace everyday soaking up the morning sunshine, it was hard to believe that we were in the Medina it was so peaceful. The area is good for a quick walk into the centre of the Medina or back out into the roads to get cabs and walk to Jardin Marjorelle. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Come to marrakesh for the souks, stay for the genuine hospitality. This is a small riad, walls decked with beautiful mosaic art. Truthfully, it was my first time in Morocco and i planned for a longer stay (4 nights) in Marrakech thinking this was the main place to visit. Marrakech is essentially one labyrinth of a Medina with beautiful art work and souvenirs but 4 nights was certainly more than enough. Riad 5 g however, was my highlight of the trip. Breakfast served in the courtyard when you are ready. The staff were welcoming with special mention to Marwan who was very accommodating to our needs! I stayed in the room that directly opened into the courtyard on the ground floor and was hesitant about privacy at first, however given it was a small riad, everyone was very respectful and it wasn’t too noisy. Would definitely recommend

One problem I had was the bed was too firm for me which made it difficult to sleep. Would recommend a more plush and comfortable bed to the owner. However if you are fine with a firmer mattress, this shouldn’t be an issue for you- this was not a problem for my brother and his wife.

It was a peaceful haven amidst the bustling Medina. The common areas were beautiful, always clean, airy, and welcoming. The bedroom was designed nicely, very quiet, comfortable, and the bed was perfect. The staff who lived and worked in the Riad were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Every morning there was breakfast, the food was delicious. The owner was really nice too, very quick to respond with any questions we had. We asked them to shuttle us from the airport to the Riad, which was nice, because the Riad is in the Medina, where cars can only go so far. I literally have nothing negative to say. It was amazing.

The staff was amazing, extremely nice, friendly, quiet but always there if something was needed. The riad itself might need some renovations but it is more than enough, specially when considering the price. Breakfast wasx greta, with different things everyday. More than enough for 2 people and the only time we asked for more bread it was immediatly served.

This road is in perfect location, right on the edge of old town. Although as some say it’s difficult to find, I take this as a benefit - the area itself was quiet and we weren’t disturbed by anyone. Our room was downstairs right next to were you have breakfast. It was on a smaller side but perfectly fine for a couple. The windows are facing the inner side of the hotel, which helps stopping the noise. The stuff of riad was very nice and they made sure to take care of us well, thank you!

Beautiful room, located in the Medina but out of the busy area so it’s nice and quiet. Close to restaurants. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious and served in the beautiful courtyard garden. Highly recommended!
