Bay Dreams Beach Hotel & Surf Camp

Die kleine Terrasse vor dem Zimmer ist wirklich schön, um abends draußen liegen zu können. Die Hotelbesitzer waren sehr bemüht und unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Der Besitzer hatte für zahlreiche Aktivitäten wirklich sehr nette und fähige Bekannte am Start und hat diese stets zum besten Preis vermittelt. Wir waren über das Hotel Surfen und auf Safari und haben bei beiden Sachen einen Preis gezahlt, der deutlich unterhalb des lokalen Durchschnitts lag. Ein weiteres Highlight der Unterkunft war definitiv das Frühstück. Jeden Morgen kochte die Besitzerin ein liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück, und an jedem Tag gab es etwas anderes.

Wonderful property and host! Iqbal and his staff were so warm and welcoming! They went above and beyond making sure I felt comfortable and enjoyed my stay! I was welcomed with delicious pineapple juice and a pastry. I ended extending my stay because it was such a warm and cozy place to spend a few days at the beach. Beach access is a few meters away. Iqbal also arranged surf lessons to peanut farm and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Best surf coach I’ve ever had! The room was very clean and spacious with hangers for wet clothes and storage. The hammocks outside each room are a very nice touch and relaxing. Each morning, the breakfast was very good and tasty! Lots of fresh fruit! Whatever you need, Iqbal and his team will take care of. Had a lot of nice chats with Iqbal. He will be missed! Wish I could stay for longer. Will definitely be back to this cozy piece of paradise.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, Der Inhaber wahr sehr, sehr freundlich und hat mich sogar mit seinem Moped mitgenommen.

Da gibt es nichts negatives

Hele fijne locatie, lekker rustig voor je kamer zitten en de eigenaar en zijn vrouw zijn super aardig. Fijn je zwemkleding kunnen drogen en ook de was. Onze kamer had airco en dat is wel prettig.

In de badkamer was de afvoer van de wastafel stuk, het lekte en de riolering lucht was minder prettig. Bedden redelijk, bed voor onze dochter was iets te dun en hard.

Warmly greeted with a cold drink by the genial host Iqbal. Invited to treat the place like home including using the kitchen to make tea and coffee. Large, well furnished (amazingly with pegs and shelves!) and very comfortable room with an enormous bathroom and hot water. Fabulous variety of breakfasts throughout our 5 night stay and wide variety of restaurants nearby for lunches and dinner. Good local rates for scooter hire.

This was such an amazing place to stay. Location was perfect , very close to the beach & restaurants. The room was spacious , the bed very comfortable and with a mosquito net. Plus a large bathroom with hot water. The highlight of the stay was the delicious breakfast. It changed daily and over the 3 days we were there we had banana pancakes , hoppers and a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast of Dhal curry and coconut Sambal ( the best we had in Sri Lanka ) This was served with a fresh juice and coffee. Great value for money . I highly recommend bay dreams we hope to return one day soon !

I wish we found this place sooner and stayed longer

We eventually stayed 5 nights, because we liked it so much! A very clean bungalow with a terrace, big double bed, mosquito net, AC, hot shower.. we slept fantastic. Iqbal, the manager was very helpful, sharing tips, prices and spoiled us with panipol (sri lanka pancakes) in the morning.
