Very friendly price for a high quality, modern room. No AC is a mild issue, easily compensated by the partial but stunning sea view from the window, patio, and rooftop. Bed was comfy, bathroom was huge and very well renovated. Wi-Fi sometimes worked very well (best I've had in SL), sometimes not at all. There's a tuk tuk station right down the street on the main road.

I asked to do some laundry, was quoted 750/kg (almost twice the price of Kandy, also local homestay, laundry there was done in a few hours, dried, neatly folded, and delivered), okay no problem - until the next day I had to ask for my laundry and was brought very damp clothes, unfolded, in plastic bags, with some of the clothes having started to smell. For reference, I myself did some laundry by hand hours after I gave them a load to wash, hung it up outside, and it was crispy dry by that moment so I have no idea what they were doing for it to still be wet. Also, going through my clothes after I requested them to be ironed because I was checking out (to the great surprise of the lady, even though the dates of my booking were very clear) and couldn't pack the clothes wet, I realized they had lost a pair of my socks. In the end, the lady said I don't need to pay, which was fair enough. I believe the laundry was done by hand and then perfumed after, as it definitely wasn't washed properly so I advise everyone not to use this service.
