Ella Secret Paradise

Nalin is echt de beste gastheer, zo vriendelijk. Locatie is lekker rustig in een mooie omgeving. Kamer was ook goed en netjes. We hebben nog niet eerder zo’n uitgebreid ontbijt gehad en ook nog lekker.

De druk van het water in de douche is aan de lage kant.

De rustige en groene locatie. Het uitgebreide ontbijt en de vriendelijke host. Het ligt iets buiten het centrum maar met 15 min lopen ben je in het centrum.

Der Name ist Programm. Eine super schöne Homestay-Unterkunft etwas außerhalb von Ella, weg vom Trubel der Stadt. Nalin ist ein super toller und zuvorkommender Host, der immer um das Wohlergehen seinen Gäste bedacht ist. Das Frühstück ist mega, egal ob Sri Lankesisch oder Kontinental (ich mochte Kontinental lieber, da bekommt man ein leckeres Omelet mit Gemüse). Er buchte uns auch jederzeit ein Tuk oder Taxi, das den Preis der Apps unterbot. Die Location mitten im Jungel ist perfekt zum Entspannen und runterkommen. Auch ist sie Unterkunft nur wenige Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Ella entfernt. 10/10 , würde jederzeit wieder buchen!

Nalin really looked after us. The breakfast was awesome. The atmosphere is quiet, like being in a garden surrounded by nature and you can walk into town in 15 minutes. We loved it..

The surroundings and location are amazing. Close to the center but still in the nature, it’s great. It’s very clean. The owner is amazing, very welcoming and super professional. The food is the best we had in our Sri Lanka trip. It’s a must do if you’re in Ella

The breakfast here rules!

De lieve zorgzame eigenaar. Het ontbijt Zoveel en zo smaakvol en mooi opgemaakt. Diner hebben we er ook een keer gedaan Heerlijk . Wij hadden de kamer met balkon en een prachtig uitzicht. De eigenaar regelt een tuk tuk voor je als wilt.Geeft goede tips voor restaurants of wat te doen. Het is 12 min lopen naar het centrum En goed te doen. Als we weer gaan zou ik weer hier verblijven

The room is one of two, attached to the owners house. It is clean and compact. The bed was comfortable for me, and I slept well.

I can not understand how this and other properties in Sri Lanka are getting such high reviews. Come on people lets help each other out and give honest representations. I was contacted by the owner for a time of arrival, and I informed him 3pm, to which he replied OK. On arrival at 3.10, the room was not ready, and we had to sit outside for 40 minutes while it was prepared. Then we were informed there was a problem with water pressure, and we could only shower with a dribble from the hand-held shower. The owner said the plumber would come at 6 pm. We then walked into Ella (20 mins) for dinner. On our return, the plumber had not been, and the owner said he would come at 7.30 in the morning and could we unlock our door! I told him this would NOT be happening. On top of this, there are gaps around the doors. The bathroom window is filthy, does not shut, and has no insect screen. Consequently, we ended up with a large number of mosquitoes in the room. Luckily, it had a net for the bed. The property is along a 300 metre concrete path, which ends abruptly, and the last 30 metres are down a steep, uneven rocky path of around 30 to 40% gradient. Yes, the owner is friendly, almost too friendly, but this is in no way an excellent or superb property. The owner did give us a 2000 rupees discount.

Nalin is a great Host! Extremely friendly and ready to help at all times. The room with the small balcony has a stunning view!
