La Playita Beach House

The hotel was very peaceful and was surrounded by plants. There was a communal kitchen and a lot of seating outside and by the pool. There was also a nice swinging bed outside, but it was out of commission for the last 2 days we were there. It was clean and the pools were great.

Nicely decorated place, comfortable beds, pool and bar area was a lovely place to relax, the whole place does look just like the photos. Unfortunately we encountered problems with another guest who made us feel uncomfortable. The hotel handled this excellently and professionally. We did feel supported during this and the hotel took the issue very seriously.

Some staff could be a little standoffish at times, but most were friendly. The shower was not consistently hot but not a huge problem considering the climate. We didn't love the location - lots of building sites around (worth noting that you cannot hear any construction) and the area surrounding the hotel feels a bit like a no-mans land.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was near the beach.

No AC, no fridge, no inside roof, bare floors, bathroom light over toilet not mirror, no desk but huge useless mirror. No hot water in the sink, just shower. Very poor wifi that cut in and out. Way overpriced for what was provided. This scam was called rustic, which was just an excuse to provide nothing to the guest. Not even water in the room. Bare floors with dog prints, dirty walls. Dirty sunbeds, old furniture. Whoever designed this place is delusional. The other reviewers must have been paid (or blind) to give this place a good review over a 3.

Absolutly amazing place. It is simple but so beautiful. Our room had everything we needed and it was very clean (cleaned every day). Location is just perfect - a minute walk to the ocean, very close to many cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful and attentive. They offer services like laundry.

That I couldn't stay forever

The place is extremely clean and well maintained, with a gorgeous yard and pool to relax in.

Unfortunately, there was an issue that left the hotel without electricity for 2 nights and some of the day. The hotel did nothing to remedy the situation by providing additional hospitality to the guests (a breakfast, compromise, understanding) and just shrugged it off or laughed at the situation. This was not good hospitality.
