Casa Umay

We had an amazing stay at Casa Umay! The property is very clean and comfortable with very nice common areas and great kitchen facilities. Santiago was very kind and helpful. The property is well located and very secure.

The setting was completely gorgeous with a hammock area, a sitting area near the pool and a well-equipped communal kitchen. The bed was massive and really comfortable. The location was walkable for everything we wanted to get to.

If I had to find something, there was a bit of a shower drain musty smell in the bathroom but it didn't impact our stay at all.

Great location (very nice restaurant/cafe nearby and quite central) Room are spacious enough and clean Bed very comfortable and huge AC Very relaxing garden. Not that many rooms so the atmosphere is very chill and not crowded at all The host is friendly and accommodating

It can get noisy with the bar nearby, but earplug can do the trick

Santiago was very welcoming and super friendly. The location was superb. One of the room was renovated tastefully and offered great functionality. Unfortunately the second bedroom bookes was old and not as welcoming

The staff was amazing. They provided great support and suggested nice places to visit in Bacalar. I enjoyed our stay and I will definitely come back in the future

Very cute place in Bacalar! There is an amazing garden in front of the room. A shared open kitchen is available to everyone, with grill, amacas and a lot of place to chill in the open air. Casa Umay is very close to the center and to the lake, you can easily reach any place by foot. There is also a cafè right next to the entrance. The room is simple and has anything need :)

Santiago was great very helpful fluent in Spanish and English.

A nearby restaurant played their music too loud at night.

Great place in the centre of Bacalar. The room and bathroom were clean and exactly as described. There's also a well equipped shared kitchen and a fantastic garden with hammocks. The staff is also super friendly.

Shower drain could work a little better. We could hear very loud music coming from outside the hotel during the night.
