Peacock's Paradise Safari Hostel

We paid 3$ for the night with breakfast. The safari costs 20$ for driver and 25$ for park entrance (per person). I think that is a cheap option to do the safari. Place is clean, breakfast is very good.

After my stay I got an email from booking, saying that the host reported that I haven't checked in - weird. I don't think the price on booking matters. We paid 1000 rupees ~ 3$, instead of 1.5$ in the booking ad. Still cheap.

The host is really nice, he also arranged a safari for us for a good price. Rooms are spacious and the breakfast was the best we had by far in Sri Lanka. Definitely worth the money, I can recommend.

Sitting among nature

Cheating practices, price and information is a scam, host asked for triple upon arrival after a two hour drive at night. When host noticed my discomfort he asked me to cancel my booking on booking.com, sensing that he did not want a negative review I mentioned I will need to pay cancellation fee. Then he did his best to make me happy with cheesy tactics and basically begged to give a 10 star rating. Enjoy 1 star "friend".

Honestly one of the best accommodation I have experienced in Sri Lanka. The place has its own positive vibe. The owner was very nice, he helped with everything, arranged a safari, lunch, dinner and a tuktuk wherever needed.

There is no hot water, but you are in the jungle. :-)

Great accommodation with the most friendliest owner & his family! Everything was nice and clean and everybody is so kind. The owner helped us with arrival & departure and literally did everything for us. We also booked a safari with him, what turned out as the most handy option. We paid 60$ for a 5 hour safari per person and it was simply amazing since we saw so many animals, had a super kind driver and the whole park really wasn’t that crowded. All-in-all: great stay.

Simple but pretty cottages. Would 100% recommend.

The Cottage was located in a lovely garden with a lot of palm trees and the owner took really good care of us. We also booked the safari there and it was really nice. Also the good breakfast and dinner was very delicious

Extraordinary hospitality. Dimithu is one of the nicest hosts I ever met and he helped us a lot. Safari, transfer and food was perfect and we would do it again.

So friendly and welcoming staff. You think you are at home and the owner arranged the Safari and Taxi with a reasonable price for me. Specially the breakfast was a table of rich and fantastic local taste of Sri Lanka. wish them all best 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
