Edgar's Guest House

Edgar was very helpful and kind. The guesthouse is in a prime position with restaurants, cafes and the beach a very short walk away. Highly recommended.

Bed is comfortable

There was girl across the street who made BBQ at 9pm and all the smoke went to the Hallway as well as in our room. There was no smoke alarm. I was awake because of the smoke from BBQ. It was also very loud outside like there was a party or something.

Comfortable and clean room (including coat hangers) with plenty of space, perfect location in Panagsama Beach close to the beach and main street with restaurants / bars (all within walking distance), Edgar and his family / staff are very friendly and helpful, it's easy to organise tours even on short notice.

Overall it seemed like an ok place to crash for some nights if there weren’t the bed bugs and no staff around to help…

Although the guesthouse looked very clean and well maintained to me, I was unlucky and had bedbugs in my room :( That of course shouldn’t happen but there was no staff around and when I finally found one apparently in charge, their reaction was kind of rude and disinterested. No “sorry” or “are you ok” just an annoyed “I will check the room”. When you’ve spend some time in the Philippines you know how kind and caring people usually are. Seems not the case in this place.

It was near to everything basically walking distance to all restaurants and bars . Beach was just 2 min from the hotel sardine and turtles also.

There was musik coming from the Main Street all night in general it was a loud location not for those who’s seeking to relax .

Edgar and his family were so welcoming and sorted all our activities and any transportation that we required during our stay. Location was perfect with a 2 minute walk to the beach and lots or surrounding restaurants and bars. Would recommend to anyone staying in Moalboal and I would definitely stay here again!

The location is perfect, just behind Smooth Cafe. Edgar is very friendly and he has a big family. Each member of his family could help you with something: renting a scooter, diving/snorkelling gear, getting a massage, booking tours, get a taxi to Moalboal. Airconditioning worked pretty well

The bathroom was simple, sink looked a bit unstable, but apart from that you get everything you needed. Only missing thing is a swimming pool, but apart from that, price quality is good. Maybe you’ll need earplugs for the airconditioning;)
