GRThe view from the room was astonishing!
The distance from the center was too large. Also, you have to climb rather than to walk due to the big inclination from the center to the room. Taken in to consideration that there is no taxi after 10.30... the place is only for car owners...

CZAlice's home was one of the best accommodations we had during our Azores holiday. The place is so clean, equipped with everything that you need, the room was comfortable and of course, the garden and view on Pico is unbeatable! We really enjoyed it here and highly recommend it... ESNeedless to say the VIEW!!! I couldn’t believe my luck when I entered my very spacious and comfortable room and saw that view from the French door and the terrace! I had the sunrise, the full moon, glorious Pico, the sea, the meadows, the birds, the lights of the port all in one amazing picture right in front of me. The weather was on my side too! I always close all shutters and go for the dark when I sleep, but not at Alice’s house! Impossible to block the view! The room itself was also perfect, comfy bed, two types of pillows (memory/hard and soft), spacious wardrobe and chest of drawers, TV (not essential for me but there is one), excellent shower, very hot water, BIDET! And in the communal living room: extra towels, hair dryers, coffee and tea and biscuits, kettle, mugs, glasses, fridge. Perfect for breakfast (I didn’t use this facility but I appreciated that it was available). You can par on the road (which is on the way to the Caldera, by the way) or in her parking space in front of the house (steep entrance). On arrival I was welcomed by Alice, super nice and super cool! I saw her just on arrival but if I needed anything, she left her number in the room. So lucky to have stayed in her beautiful house! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

CZThe accomodation was large, clean and with a beautiful view of nerby Pico mountain. The centre of Horta was well accessible by walking distance. We appreciatted calm and helpful attitude of our host as well as location and nature around.
The missing functional kitchen (especially the sink, pots and owen) in our quarters. However, our host provided us with the microwawe own and cooked a rice for us when needed. I am highly a warm blooded creature but those who are not might find the azorean accomodations rather cold in spring season. Threfore, a fan heater was our good friend.

Steep hill to get to place so advice don't walk from the port especially if just climbed Pico the same day. :)
