Taverna Lusitana

Our room in Monsanto was as unique and charming as it gets. In all our years of travel, we have never had this kind of experience. A completely modern apartment with stone and huge rock boulders almost as art work in the walls. The bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Monsanto is right outside your door, with its huge boulders and stone streets. The breakfast was delicious. We cannot say enough about what a great experience it was staying here. If you have difficulty climbing, this is not a village you should visit. However, if you are able, come here and stay here !

Location was fantastic with the historical buildings all around you. Staying in the area was so interesting with areas to walk and visit. Great breakfast & hosts.

Nothing everything was great.

It was such a unique property and we loved it. It was spacious, clean, the bed was extremely comfortable but the highlight was the fact that large boulders made up our walls! It was a cool place to experience. Our hosts were very friendly and the breakfast they prepared was amazing as well. Would highly recommend!

The authenticity of the place. We had a huge stone as part of the wall of our room. Breakfast was reach and tasty. The staff was nice and attending. Good location at the top of the village

It’s not really possible to get there with your car so you’ll need to carry your luggage all the way up the hill. The bathroom didnt have a window so it was a bit musty

The cosy room with excellent facilities. Jăo the owner was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Loads of hot water, comfortable beds and extra blankets! Breakfast was superb. We even made a small packed lunch with the extras. Wonderful position for visiting the castle.

Nothing to dislike

很喜欢这个乡村小旅馆，虽然是乡村，但设施设备一点不落后，干净整洁舒适，住宿就是景点，满满的怀旧感。房东特别热情，善于沟通，早餐很丰盛，性价比高，值得推荐！

A whole house by the street and close to the castle. The hotel only has three rooms but very convenient. The breakfast is gorgeous and the hotel has the tavern just opposite the room where meals and drinks are available. The boss (Joan) is very helpful providing local information and booking of taxi. We had in-depth talk regarding east west culture and traditions as well as the local village life. The room is very quiet as if I have lost hearing. Nice view from bedroom.
