Taverna Lusitana

Property was absolutely amazing! We arrived on a very cold and drizzly afternoon on our motorcycles and were so delighted to find our room warm and ready and the “pub” serving delicious snacks and drinks. The room itself was super awesome — great shower, comfortable bed, plenty of blankets. I was worried about it being cold (as it’s built right into the rocks!) but we were extremely comfortable. We were served an incredible (best we had in Portugal) breakfast spread in the morning. It is obvious the proprietors take great pride in their property and services. Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic. Monsanto is such a unique city and the apartment really captures that. The host, João, was INCREDIBLY kind and hospitable. Amazing having his tavern just a few steps away from the front door. I could not have had a better experience.

The only thing I wish was different - and I want to be clear, this has nothing to do with the host or the apartment - were clearer instructions/directions about driving in the city. Arriving at night when it's dark and hard to see is not the way I'd reccommend trying to find your way around in a car. Next time I'm in Monsanto I'll park at the bottom of the hill and take a shuttle or something.

オーナー夫妻が、とても親切だった。 宿泊費もリーズナブルだった。アップグレードしたのが良かったかもしれない。

2泊した初日が、晴れていたら最高だった。部屋からの朝日、夕陽ともとても綺麗だった。巨岩の眺めも楽しい。
