Diwanka Villa

I had a great time at Diwanka villa, stayed there for 3 weeks. I had the whole upper floor to myself, as I was the only guest. Stayed in the room with AC and with the mosquito nest which to me was very important. The hosts were a very kind family who helped me with anything I needed, they even took me to the hospital in the middle of the nigh when I fell sick. I had a peacful stay there.

The property was little but further from the centre but we rented a bike so we didn’t mind that much. The room was clean and breakfast was nice.

Dinnesh and his wife were very welcoming from the very beginning. They arranged a rental scooter for us whicu was available 30min after our arrival. That was a must for us since the property is located about 1km from the main road and there is not much around. We were not given the room that was showj in the pictures as there was someone else renting it so we stayed in a different room (both room share one bathroom). However the other room got free the day after so we could use the terrace there which was amazing. We asked if we could use their washing machine and they accepted and charged for it at the end of our stay (price was more expensive than regular laundry places but it was very convenient). Kumudu prepared some delicious meals for us too at a fair price; everything was tasty and made with love. We very much liked staying there, we felt like home.

Even though we didn’t get the room we expected for it ended up being a super nice and cozy stay. We actually got a bigger room and still got to use the nice terrace so it was just perfect.

You get a nice breakfast and the man is driving you around with his tuctuc if you like to.

The house is big, very clean and nice. Breakfast is awesome and the hosts are really nice and helping.

Nice house, privacy, relax, nice people

We stayed just one day but it was a great choice. Family who run this home stay is very kind and you get everything that you need to get a proper rest. Very comfortable bed and warm water in bathroom are good pros (not obvious in some properties we booked before)! Also we get Sri Lanka style breakfast, nice!
