The good: the massage was fantastic. We found it to be a bit pricier than others in Sri Lanka, but absolutely worth it. The older women and youngest boy on staff were also fantastic. They were lovely and kind. The room was as pictured and the beds are comfortable.

The bad: WiFi is incredibly weak, if it exists at all, in the apartment room. Breakfast is also not included in the most expensive room (though the room also does not offer even cutlery and plates to prepare your own). I don’t think the apartment room is a good value. The ugly: on my last day, a friend and I asked to stop at an ATM on the way back from the River Cruise. The man from the property asked me (after I had withdrawn money) if I was paying for my stay in cash. I said no, by card. He then insisted I had to pay by cash. I wanted to go back to the property to see what my bank was charging me. He made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, also getting wildly condescending. After I walked away, I went to my room and contacted booking. Immediately someone came up to my room to complain that I contacted booking and told me I could pay by card but it would be an 8% charge. I said 8% was ridiculous, so they called someone and settled with “fine, we can do 3%”. In the end I had the cash and ended up paying by cash just to end this situation. It was so unfortunate that it got so uncomfortable. If the man had never been so rude and intimidating, none of this would have happened. In the end I cannot recommend the property, especially for women traveling alone.

We loved absolutely everything. Hospitality of the owners is incomparable. Many thanks from us for their kindness to us and our little daughter. And their dinners beat those in the restaurants we managed to visit during our short stay :-)

This was an amazing place to just relax and take some time to chill. Ruwan and his staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. I felt completely comfortable as a solo, female traveller. Breakfast was delicious - fresh Sri Lankan fruits, omelettes, daal, string hoppers, you name it! I also treated myself to a three day Ayurvedic treatment which was amazing, including full body massage, inhalations and a beautiful shirodhara to finish. I thoroughly recommend the Ayurvedic Spa treatments here. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to visit again in the future.

We loved the place! The rooms were big and neat with AC and a beautiful high ceiling. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so accommodating and helpful. Ruwan, Deepa and the other staff made our stay perfect by taking very good care of us, accommodating our requests and making great conversation!
