After spending several nights in the desperately dry Northern Cape and Namaqualand, being alongside the river was a real bonus. This is a conference facility, with that standard of accommodation. This is not clear in the bookings advertisement, but the room was huge and the beds comfy. Friendly staff gave us access to a big chest freezer to keep our perishables cold.

No Wifi in the room, and the code provided for public areas did not work. The taps have been all but destroyed so getting water out of them was a challenge. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, but a single person to serve at the bar, and a massive 80 seat restaurant is not sufficient. The boat that takes people on a sunset cruise was leaking petrol, and the smell drove us inside from the open balcony.

The scenery was beautiful. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Ohhhh the peace and tranquility that came with our stay was great.

Just a pity that some activities need to be booked out in advance and we had no knowledge of it.

The place is beautiful and the view was to die for,loved it.

Beautifull view and very comfortable bed

The toilet wasn't flush when we check in to our room. The reataurant isn't clean and every were is a fork or n knife laying round thats not clean and empty sugar papers on the floor. It was just me and my husband in the restaurant...service took very very long and when our food came it was cold on a cold evening. Don't think we will go back there...we want to do it yearly but decided agai nst it...lot of money down the drai
