"Countryside, homely B&B near the liveliest town in the area."

Lovely, rustic farmhouse feel. Open & green & pleasant pool area. Vibes right outside that you could stroll amongst. Lovely breakfast room with a super small buffet with delicious croissants, pastries, cereal, bread & fruit available. Cooked to order eggs available too with tea coffee & fresh orange juice. Exciting access to the property on narrow, bumpy roads!

Shower too small (could hardly turn around & Im not big) but decent & hot. Room quite dark but only because curtains & shutters closed to keep it cool. Modern glass reception area spoiled the aesthetic & didn’t fit with the rest of the property - such a shame! If you’re driving, beware the access roads are unpaved & are tricky to navigate between house/field walls! Don’t turn left out of the property gate even if Googlemaps say to do so - the road gets rougher & narrower & is not really drivable with a regular car!

I stayed in a casa (not the main house) and the views from the living room and bedroom are magnificent. Watching the weather change moment by moment was very peaceful. The casa was clean, has everything you need for cooking. Nearby town for restaurants and groceries. Manager Adelaide was absolutely lovely!

It's a bit challenging to drive on the very narrow roads in the Douro. If you're coming from the south, I definitely recommend taking the highway route and not the back roads recommended by Google maps. You'll also want to arrive in the daylight as it's a bit tricky navigating the road into the property.

"A relaxed and charming farm stay in the Douro"

Absolutely stunning location and accommodation is comfortable, clean, and with old world charm. My extended family stayed in the apartments and house dispersed across the property. We enjoyed the breakfast, alfresco area by the pool, wandering the apple orchard and venturing up to the church, and of course driving to the douro quintas. A magical base!

Not much we didn’t like - we loved our stay. Would have loved some coffee pods and paper towel.
