Welcome Family Guest House.

It was a great welcome, and staying with this lovely family was perfect. The location was closed to the station, down a side street but quieter than I expected! The breakfast was tasty and generous.

Welcome family guest house was excellent. The room was spotless and the family were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing with an array of different items. Location was also excellent as it was only a very short walk to the station and also to a choice of restaurants. We initially booked for two nights but ended up staying for four nights as we loved it so much.

This was a really lovely Homestay. Very clean and comfortable and an excellent location so near to the train station. The family ( Mother and two sons) were so kind and helpful. Breakfasts were fresh and delicious. We were in Sri Lanka for nearly a month, and this was our favourite accomodation. If you are in Bentota, the Welcome Family Guesthouse is to be recommended.

What a lovely and family place! The room is very cosy and clean, the host family is kind and welcoming, and breakfast beyond delicious. Great location near the beach and with restaurant around the corner. Bentota is definitely a hidden gem and Family Guest House is a perfect place to stay and explore the area.

А super place, a friendly family. Perfect cleanliness. Amazing breakfasts, served like in a restaurant. The owner's son speaks excellent English, there were no problems with understanding. He also helped us with some issues. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a peaceful stay with three nights of excellent sleep. The hotel was spotless and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and had a homely feel.

Nice, quiet and above all clean accommodation not far from the beach and the train station. Breakfasts were great and rich. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Everything was perfectly fine.

We had not intended to stay here but are so very glad we did. The family is lovely and very welcoming. Our room was on the ground floor, it was exceptionally clean, well furnished with a wardrobe, small fridge, fan and air-conditioner. The bed was very comfortable and had a mosquito net. There was also a small balcony outside with table and chairs to sit. Lovely breakfast each day and our host accommodated our request for some changes to the breakfast. The property is very close to the train station, restaurants and the beach is just across the railway track, all less than 5 minutes’ walk. The sound of the few trains in the night and morning is hardly noticeable, in fact it was our highlight. We spent quite a bit of time at the railway station and each evening we would enjoy our meals in one of the restaurants along the track watching the trains go by. The railway station was built in 1967, it was designed by Geoffrey Bawa, Sri Lanka’s famous architect and resembles a railway carriage. It has sadly seen better days but is still a wonderful piece of history.
