Chandi Gaya Beach Guesthouse

The entire ambience of the guest house was brilliant. There's a vessel that sits on the premises after it was flung 20 years ago from the tsunami. They will make it into a beautiful room in time to come. Chandi the owner, it's an excellent host & good chef with delicious home cooked meals. The restaurant is right in front of the guest house on the beach. The entire family is so lovely. Definitely coming back. The room right at the top has the best view. The premise is surrounded by coconut trees, so it's shady & not hot.

Chandi Gaya Chandi and her family are so warmly and helpful for anything you need. Rooms are in good homestay conditions, stunning view on and amazing sound of the ocean. Beach is right next to it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Very local meals, homecooked and fresh. For me one of the best places to stay on southcoast. Rooms are clean, have mosquito nets, beds have a good size. Very good for people who want to get into the real sri lankan feeling. Would always come again!

A wonderful place with an amazing location, right by the sea. My room had a balcony overlooking the ocean, which was a fantastic bonus. For this price, it’s an excellent deal! I ended up staying longer than I originally planned and would gladly return next year. The atmosphere is warm and family-like, and the room was very comfortable, especially for a solo traveler. Highly recommend! Great food in good prices!

Great beachfront location, awesome view from room balcony and a lovely family which run the guesthouse. Small restaurant with lovely tasting food all cooked fresh, and great prices, probably the cheapest along the road. The vibe and energy of the place and area was so nice, I extended my stay from 3 nights to 2 weeks!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beachfront hotel! The hostess was incredibly kind, and her hospitality exceeded our expectations. She prepared delicious meals that were a true delight. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. A perfect place to relax and recharge. Highly recommended!

Chandi and her family are so sweet and caring. Always ready to help us if we need information, very flexible. We felt like we were welcome and they really shared their culture with us. We also felt freedom, we were independant enough. It's well located so we can walk to the beach. The food is great and worth it!
