Best place ever. Lovely host, local food , and beautiful beach stright from room.

Chandi & family are wonderful & very welcoming, I enjoyed visiting the local markets with them, the location with the sound of the breaking waves is very soothing. The view is perfect & watching the local fisherman was amazing, especially as they surf back to shore, timing the waves perfectly!

The location of the property is amazing, literally on the beach. We would fall asleep at night being able to listen to the crashing of the waves outside. Just a beautiful location. Restaurant on site has probably the cheapest prices in the area and is right on the beach as well. Spacious room with mosquito nets and space outside to hang swimming clothes.

When we arrived we were told that the previous guests had failed to check out and were away swimming at the beach meaning we could not check into the room we had booked even though it was around 2pm. We went for some food and returned an hour later to find they had still not returned so we had to sit and wait. Finally at around 4.30pm the guests returned and vacated the room so we could check in. Once this was resolved we loved our stay here it was just unfortunate to arrive in this way.

The location is great, You are just on the Beach. It IS amazing eating your breakfast and dinner and looking on the see just in front of You. Also You have everything in walking distance. A lot of restaurants, a supermarket, pharmaceutical... The Guesthouse is just at the most beautiful Beach. Also the food is very good. The family is really great. And the food is great and cheap.

The rooms are old an NEED some refreshment and good cleaning. Also the surrouding is not really Nice.

Breakfast has been great, the host family is very helpful regarding all questions during the stay

Door could not be closed properly, but this isn’t really a problem as our room has been in first floor and the family lives right next to the rooms - felt safe anyway!

Loved the prime beachside location! The breakfast was a delight, and the family-made dishes were incredibly tasty. Thumbs up for the delicious food and perfect beach proximity!

Restaurant menu items frequently unavailable, giving the impression they weren't ready for guests. The occasional loudness and lack of guesthouse vibes added to the letdown. Hoping for improvements!

Chandi Gaya Guetshouse is located on the beachside with a beautiful view. You can reach Tangalle center within 10 minutes and there are many restaurants and small beach bars closeby. But Chandi also offers very delicious food and you can have your breakfast right on the beach. The family is realy warmhearted, helpful and layed back. We always had good conversation with them and all our requests were answered so friendly. We could even buy fish on the market which they would prepare for us for little money. The room we had was spacous and clean und we had a nice balcony/terrace as well. We stayed longer than we had originally planned! Thank you Chandi and your family!

I stayed at Chandi Gaya Beachhouse for the second time. You are two meters aways from the beach and sleep with the sound of the waves and wake up to a beach view. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is really good for what you get. Chandi has been the best host during our Sri Lanka trip, she is very fun and caring. We took our breakfast at the accomodation and our lunch the food was very delicious.

If you are scared of insects I would recommend not to choose the top floor room. While it feels amazing to sleep up in the palms and have a direct see view, it can attract some little visitors at night...
