Green jade Inn Mirissa

The owner was very nice. At night he shows us his city with his tuktuk.

Peaceful and quiet in the garden full of trees and vegetation. We loved every moment there

Best stay I had in Sri Lanka! Super clean, large room, very comfortable bed, ac and wifi working perfectly, location is great, very close to everything but at the same time super quiet. All the place is full with greenery and so lovely. But the best part is the awesome family who runs the place, they are SUPER nice, welcoming and go far and beyond for you. Don't miss out!

The room is located close to the centre of mirissa but far enough away to be really peaceful and quiet. The hosts were so friendly and even gave us a fresh coconut each when we arrived. They also gave us umbrellas for when it was raining and they have a tuktuk too. I would definitely recommend staying here, the rooms were really clean and the whole place had a really nice vibe.

I felt like home in Green Jade Inn, having planned a very short stay, it ended up to be a very long one! The very nice owner family does everything to make you feel comfortable, Janitha cares so much about his guests' wellbeing that he would check in regularly to make sure I am alright or to ask if there is anything I needed. The brother, who is on site, is one of the kindest persons I've ever met. Always smiling, he might just bring some yummie food or coconut from time to time and enlightened my days like this.=) Also he has a tuktuk and can bring you to e.g. bus stops when needed as a "service of the house", which is amazing! Regarding the room, you have great value for money, the rooms are over-average in size with a huge bed and big bathroom, also there is a lot of light coming in. There is AC and a fan and a table + chairs in the room which is great if you have to work with your computer. Regarding work: they do have fiber Internet, so no problems with video calls. Also, there is a shared kitchen that can be used. The house is in a calm area, a green garden where the only "noise" is the animals you hear. Every room has a small terrace where you can enjoy the garden when it's not too hot. (Only hammocks are missing ;-) ). But it's not far to the main road, around 4 minutes, and again same to the beach, so in max 10 mins you are at the ocean. Also the big supermarket is super close. Overall, I was very sad when I had to leave this place that became my home in the time I spent there. I absolutely recommend staying in Green Jade Inn! Thank you for everything and I'm looking forward to coming back.

Words can’t describe how lucky we were to stay at Green Jade Inn! We initially booked to stay for 1 week at the beginning of our travels in Sri Lanka, and by the end of our initial week we ended up booking in to stay for an additional 3 weeks once we had completed our travels through the country. The family that own this guesthouse are some of the most honest and amazing people we have ever met over our travels - they continually ensured we were looked after in every possible way through small acts of generosity and kindness - it’s easy for us to say that our fantastic stay in Mirissa was largely down to their warm hospitality they showed towards us every day. — The room itself is great as well, everything is very clean and orderly - it has AC, ceiling fan, hot water, mosquito net, very fast wifi, clothes closet and a table/chairs — The guesthouse itself is situated in the quieter neighbourhood behind the busy Main Street of Mirissa - it’s a 5mins walk from this street as well as only a few more minutes walk from the beach — Over all of our travels, Green Jade Inn is by far the best guesthouse we have ever stayed at, everything is perfect and one couldn’t ask for anymore in a guesthouse — Thank you so much and we hope to be back in Mirissa soon!

So so lovely! And quiet but at the same time not far

The place was very quiet and yet in close walking distance to all the important areas of Mirissa. It certainly is really green there, lots of plants, flowers, birds etc. The owner and his brothers are very kind people, they offered us free transportation with their tuk tuk, free bananas and we could use their washing machine for free and they even hung our clothes to dry while we weren’t at the hotel.

Nothing to complain about, good value for little money.

For the price I could not complain - such a helpful owner who always checked in on us and was there to help when we needed. Excellent location less than 10 minute walk to beach, really cannot fault much and would recommend for others to stay.

Although bed sheets smelt clean there were a few stains on one of them and perhaps could do with a replacement soon. This is just a suggestion and didn’t stop us enjoying the place!
