- extremely sweet host family. And I meant it, they are just angels. - excellent location - the place where food is served is by incredible small lake with many birds - the host arranged everything for us for very recent charge (Mihintale, bicycles, Willpatu NP) - tasty food, great juices with ice cream, unique ancient porridges for breakfast - one bicycle at the property We wish the host family all the best with their business in comming future. They're working really hard.

- lack of English of the host (still everything was successfully arranged) - worn out room, with laud fan, no nets on window (many mosquitoes outside) - water stays at floor in bathroom after showering - two towels for three people - ongoing construction (noise) - but new rooms look fantastic - chaotic meal menu, we ended up being overcharged and paid for the food we didn't order or didn't get (for solo travelers it may be ok but for 5 people group it wasn't at all) - had to wait for 70 min to get to food once, despite the dinner time was set before - irritating dog (we do love dogs) from a neighbourhood at the property - 10% serving charge

It was situated in among the ruins.. So meant after hours viewing.. Great staff.. Cheapest eats.. Situated a big pond.. So mornings full of wildlife.. Wow.. Rice fields also.. Peacocks calling all day. Bat's at night.. Lovely owner, s. Bike, s scooters What ever is required. They will have for you.. 10 outta 10..

I have to be honest there was no negatives.. Super quiet..

It's the best place to stay at Anuradhapura! It's so peaceful and the family is so kind. Best food and always very helpful. You can just spend the whole day at the little pond observing over 25 bird species or ride with the bicycle to the historic sites or walk to the nerby lake for sunset. I even stayed a day longer. The owners just bild a new guestroom which has the most wonderful view where you don't want to leave the bed.

The room was large and comfortable, the meals are huge, healthy and delicious and made largely from chemical-free homegrown ingredients. The beer was ice-cold every time. The owners and family are unfailingly helpful and cheerful. The location is very close to Anuradhapura's main attractions and bicycle hire is available. Incredibly good value for money.

The host family is very friendly, they were very flexible with the check-in and check-out. The guesthouse is next to beautiful rice fields and a pond with sea roses. We had breakfast there, the food was very good for a very small price. The location is perfect to explore the sights of Anuradhapura, you can even do it by foot. This place is just what you need for a 1-2 night stay to explore the area.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay when visiting Anuradhupura as it is so close to the ancient city. Quiet, next to the rice fields and a lotus pond. Food was spectacular and both the owners had the most wonderful smiles!
