Great staff, very cheap, good location

Good location, friendly staff who is always happy to give good tips about the area.

The hygiene in the building was poor. Bed sheets and pillow felt extremely cheap and worn out and also with some stains. Common toilets are not clean and there are also cockroaches and mice in the building (I saw both). They do put mice traps next to the rooms so they won't come in, but overall even for a budget hostel it's well below average for cleanliness and hygiene. I'm not sure if I would return here to be honest

Very friendly owners and relaxed atmosphere! The bed was very comfortable and facilities clean! Kitchen also to make ypur own food if you prefer! Location was perfect for exploring ! Food in penang is exceptional as there is so much choice ! There is also night market Street food also very close by with nuce choice and ambience. Travel is easy as buses stop are 3 mins walk ! I would say this is good value for money!

It’s cheap as chips and you get what you pay for - no more and no less. The location is amazing. WiFi worked well and the older Malay host nice and friendly.

Was no toilet paper for my morning duty and urine all over the toilet seat so couldn’t use alternative methods. Mosque call scared the life out of me shaking the whole room in the morning - but think that’s hard to avoid in Penang.

Location was great, the staff welcomed us and showed us places to visit on the map, bathrooms were clean and aircon worked well :)

The only light in the room was the main light so this was far too bright in the evenings so needed a lamp, and there was a fish in the fish tank in reception that had died and it was left there for a few days until there was a skeleton left… however it was overall a pleasant stay for the price :)! i would recommend!

At the time of my stay they had a bit of problems with the wifi but they were on to it and it’s probably fixed by now.
