The Mayan Grouper

The Mayan Grouper has beautiful grounds and an incredible view. We really enjoyed the breakfast.

The caretaker, Dora was lovely! Super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, walking distance to town and the property had an amazing view of the lake. Very quiet and private.

We brought our dog with us (yay for pet friendly places) and one of the owner’s dogs wasn’t super friendly so we kept our distance.

Beautiful property with a view of the lake. Watched birds from their garden. Lots of space to lounge and relax. Room was spacious and a big breakfast was included. Location was ideal as we easily walked to nearby restaurants. Tours offered by the owner (fluent in English) were affordable and went beyond my expectations. Really enjoyed my stay and appreciated that the owners are willing to share their little piece of paradise in Suchitoto.

Very small hotel. Everything was lovely, the room, the view, the garden and breakfast. Only downside would be that it is a bit expensive.

The calmness of the entire place. The friendliness of the staff. The environment is pretty cool.

I did like everything.

Great location within walking distance of everything in town but also felt very quiet and secluded, with a great view down to the lake. They have decorated very nicely, a lot of interesting touches around the property and within the comfortable rooms. Great breakfast included. We would definitely return.
