The Mayan Grouper

Amazing view of the lake, excellent breakfast, and a relaxing atmosphere. We felt like we were visiting family in Suchitoto thanks to the service and attention by the property managers. Can walk to the main square or take a tuk-tuk taxi for 50 cents per person. Restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance.

Didn't see the property name on the gate outside but maybe I missed it. It was a bit of challenge to find; pay attention to the directions they'll send you!

I was looking for a place that was a bit quieter to stay and with great internet. I was working remotely, and this place was excellent! I was able to work in the garden with the beautiful view of the lake, as well as from my room with no issues having video calls. René was very responsive before and during my stay through Whatsapp, and Ms. Dora made an excellent breakfast each day, and was a pleasure to meet. The location was also great, not too far from the central park.

We were welcomed with a cold glass of limonada and big smiles. Big airy room with high ceilings, good shower, beautiful outdoor couches and a lovely garden and view of the lake. Delicious breakfast included, and the hosts also have a tour company and organized a bird watching excursion on the lake!

The host greeted us upon arrival, he was very kind and showed us to our room. He gave us our keys and left us there to accommodate and get settled. (With a yummy lemonade, must add).

Everything was very nice, the facilities were beautiful and clean. The one little detail I could have gone without is the barking of the dogs every time we walked by. Cute and harmless dogs, but very noisy. Everything else was perfect.
