The view is amazing, the staff was really friendly.

Just a lil smell in the restroom.

The host was communicative and the room was very comfortable. The grounds of the property are lovely and the house is short walk to main square.

No fault of the host/accommodation but we didn't realize we arrived on eve of Independence Day and there was late night partying/loud music in town nearby and early morning drumming (probably practicing for parade in the morning).

Charming place with lush grounds, beautiful garden and spectacular view.

Rooms could use updates.

The garden and the view are great. The staffs are friendly.

The location is slightly out of the town center. The price is high. We had the larger and more expensive room and hoped to see the sunrise as the picture showed. It turned out that it was impossible to see sunrise in the room. The worst experience was the neighbor's dogs who barked at us whenever we walked out (the only way out). It was dangerous.

Breakfast was excellent and the town quite unique.

I visited mid-week (Monday-Wednesday) and was the only guest present at this beautiful hacienda, so it felt like a private villa. Its location at the edge of Suchitoto makes it a peaceful, secluded place, but you can still easily walk to the town center. Dora was a wonderful hostess who gave me keys at check-in and prepared a delicious traditional Salvadoran breakfast every morning, which I ate in the garden. The panoramic view from the garden is gorgeous. The hammocks were a nice place to relax. One afternoon, the gardener was pruning the coconut trees, so I was given a huge coconut and drank its delicious juice. The king room is large with good A/C and ceiling fan. The windows were dirty, but the panoramic views were still amazing, especially for watching the sun rise. (I later realized that I could open the windows, but it was hot outside.) The bathroom was nice and clean. The showerhead is Italian and you need to know how to use the settings to get maximum hot water (I learned at another Salvadoran guesthouse.)

The windows could be cleaner. And while sitting with the garden, I got a bunch of weird bug bites that immediately left dark black marks on my calves and feet. They severely itched for over a week, much longer than mosquito bites. Now, three months later, the bite marks are grey and still haven't completely faded. I don't know if the bites were from fleas (the owners' dogs visited a few times) or something else?? I've been to 100+ countries and never had bug bites like these...but I would still recommend this place.
