Kohjum Relax Beach

The family running the property is so nice, we had a wonderful time staying there.

Everything was just perfect

I had expected the facility to accept card for payment of the room given the cost per night paired w the fact that other facilities on the same beach did so and that there are no ATM on the island,

We loved, loved, loved it here! The perfect place to get away from it all, we stayed for 3 nights and didn't leave the beach the bungalow is on. You need to stay here! Amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. By far the best food on the beach! The Thai food here is exceptional. There are a few other night places to eat and drink on the beach too if you fancy a change. Bungalows basic but great for the price, can't complain.

Nothing! Although the road to get in is quite rough, it was fine for us as we didn't leave but it could be a problem if you want more hustle and bustle.

Family room beachfront was great, right at the beach. Run by a family. Small, cozy. At walking distance from resorts with a kitchen and drinks but at the venue itself you can also eat/drink. Note: the rooms had a fan, no sitcom. But that was completely alright with the window open and sea breeze. You can use their canoe. They have chairs seafront. Location was simply brilliant: quiet and really nice.

Very secluded I loved it the moment we arrived had to walk down a steepish wooded path the owner was their ready to help us with our rucksacks, box of beer and bottles of water.. . Definitely need to take supplies. Immediately had a sense of isolation! Needed to make your own entertainment quite romantic being ‘trapped’ on the beach total relaxation. Hence why the name. Couple of hotel restaurants to the left, food same as our accommodation but ours better value. Bigger hotel to the right with nice coffee and chill out space for the sunset and a beer, food looked good though we didn’t eat. No real way off the beach unless you hired a boat taxi which apparently was expensive. Road not really accessible without a 4x4 taxi, we hired a scooter for a day to explore was quite frankly dangerous on the dirt road and my husband is very experienced on a scooter. When we got on the main concrete road obviously a lot easier to travel on. The road leading to the accommodation was even unwalkable in November too wet and muddy for about a mile. We had a relaxing time used our snorkel a lot and the free kayak. The actual room was spacious and comfortable and the balcony had room for two could fit a hammock and a chair. The owner built them himself and was starting more when we were there. Beautiful beach and sea view. Rocks in the ocean for snorkelling. Did a lot of beach combing found dead coral sadly and interesting shells. Only really need 2/3 days. There were families with small children which perhaps would have struggled to get anywhere or do anything. Hotel owners work so hard for their business we really enjoyed our stay were totally relaxed and ready for our 2 day travelling back to Wales - thank you :)

The bungalow was on the beach. The terrace has a great hammock and chairs and table to make good use of it. The restaurant was great, really delicious Thai food.

The hammock was a bit too small for the bed. Couldn’t totally close. But no problem because we did not have any mosquitos.

Our bungalow was the one basicaly on the beach, so the view and sleeping while listening to the sound of the sea was amazing! The resort is very family like and friendly. Very basic equipment. Restaurant. You can use the kayaks, rent a motorbike and I highly recomend rent a private boat (via the reception) and go for a day trip to Koh Phi Phi (we visited Hoh Phi Phi 3 times total and this trip was by far the best, super friendly capitan, less crowded places...)

As there is no air condition you will probably have to have the windows open...and its in the nature, so one must count with animals (insect, monkeys :-) ). Its far from anything, very quiet, nowhere to go, no shop nearby, so you will be forced to relax...
