When I arrived, they asked for a higher price than advertised. Additionally, if you choose to pay with a card, they may attempt to overcharge you. Another person complained in the reviews about huge issues at this hotel, and I highly trust his feedback after visiting this place. When you look at the photos, you might assume there's a balcony, but it's actually a shared area with people constantly walking by, potentially peering into your window

Very nice hotel, great pool (cleaned daily), very nice and smiling staff, beautiful rooms, direct access to a beautiful beach, bus stop and small grocery stores right at the entrance to the hotel. Restaurant very good. Room cleaning possible every day. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you very much for a beautifully spent vacation 😊 we would love to come back

Nice hotel with very friendly personnel!

Clientele was sometimes a little annoying. But that's no fault of the hotel.

Had a lovely stay at Serenade Beach Hotel, the staff were great and the room was big and comfortable, with amenities (TV, safe, hairdryer etc) that in Sri Lanka are often missing at smaller hotels. The position was perfect -- a short walk to the party places but far enough away not to be bothered by noise. Good food at the restaurant and a reasonable breakfast. Travelling on my own as an older woman, I felt well looked after and secure.
