Azul Sul

Azul Sul is actually more beautiful than the photos represent. It is very centrally located in the old town - and yet super private and quiet. It's beautifully decorated and also extremely comfortable - wonderful basic kitchen w sitting room, excellent bed with really lovely Portuguese bed linen, fantastic Portuguese soaps, and all the information on Tavira anyone could need. Absolutely gorgeous garden right outside your front door. Parking is available outside the main entrance - very convenient. Our hosts José & Maria Helena were so helpful, gracious and kind. José provided us with extremely clear and helpful suggestions on local restaurants, food, activities, cultural sites and events. They love their very beautiful home which is Maria Helena's family home - a precious piece of Algarve history as José told us (over a glass of delicious Portuguese red wine) that Azul Sul is an example of a typical Algarve house with rooms surrounding an inner garden - sadly, such houses are quite rare now. Do walk out to the beaches and around the salt pans - it is magic! Thank you José & Maria Helena - we loved our visit at beautiful Azul Sul.

José is een ontzettend aardige en behulpzame host. De rust midden in het centrum en de fijne binnentuin zijn geweldig.

Jose was the most amazing host, explanation of how Tavira ticks, and even down to his generous ride to the station.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

José hat uns so herzlich empfangen und sogar vom Busbahnhof abgeholt, wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt und nicht nur als Gäste. Dafür möchten wir uns herzlich bedanken. Auch die Unterkunft ist wirklich einzigartig mit dem lauschigen Innenhof, den wir für uns genießen konnten. Es war zudem sehr sauber, gepflegt und gut eingerichtet. José gab uns ausserdem sehr gute Empfehlungen für Ausflüge und Restaurants, so konnten wir unsere Zeit in Tavira richtig genießen

Das Azul Sul Sul gehört definitiv zu den schönsten Unterkünften die wir auf Reisen je hatten. Alles ist super sauber, das Apartment wunderschön und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Innenhof ein kleine Oase. Jose, der Gastgeber, hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns wertvolle Tipps zu Restaurants, Stränden und vielem mehr gegeben. Das Zentrum und der Fähranleger sind nur wenige Schritte vom Azul Sul entfernt, ebenso kleine Supermärkte, Restaurants und Bars. Hier stimmte einfach Alles - Danke Jose!
