"An oasis on a difficult travel day"

Everything was very good, on a day when the Portuguese general strike had messed up our plans considerably. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts of the hotel and felt at home right away.

That we arrived so late that we had little time to take in the town or settle into the beautiful hotel facilities.

Der sehr freundliche und warmherzige Empfang der Besitzer, die mit großem Stolz Ihr Haus präsentieren. Wir haben sehr viel über die Geschichte des Hauses erfahren und fühlten uns wie in einem kleinen Museum. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und wunderbar zubereitet. Zusätzlich erhielten wir großzügiger Weise ein Upgrade unseres Zimmers. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen, um diese Vorzüge mehrere Tage genießen zu dürfen.

"Exceptional Small Hotel With Personalized Service"

Wonderful hotel and staff in a historic home that has been renovated! The rooms were huge, and my superior double room even included an additional sitting room that I did not expect. Centrally located, yet very quiet. Elaborate breakfast with many offerings. Everything was top-notch. They aim to please. I would defintely stay here again.

The internet went in and out frequently.

Läget och den fantastiska trädgården.

Rummet är mycket fint, men sängarna borde bytas ut. Sängkläderna borde helst vara vita och det borde finnas påslakan för hygieniska skäl. Överkasten kan skippas.

"Exceptional"

What can I say. This unique hotel is very special. This is a wonderful experience and so much more than a bed for the night. It was a priviledge to stay. The owner and staff so welcoming and knowledgeable about the building and its history. The communal rooms that you can use as you wish, free port and unlimited coffee,teas just add that extra touch. Exceptional.
