The place itself is really not that bad, it is simply just not safe!

The plugs were overloaded (kids room had a DSTV decoder, TV, aircon, large fridge, microwave and kettle on one plug with a multiplug) and there is something not right with their electrical connections. When the power came on after loadshedding, it was just sparks at every electrical connection. We smelt something burning the second evening, then we saw the sparks and then the flames behind our bed! Luckily, we were in the room when it happened and could manage the situation (imagine if we weren't there or didn't wake up!). When we pulled the bed away from the wall the aircon wire were connected and taped with insolation tape! My kids were terrified after this, and wanted to leave immediately (they are 6 and 7) we were told that nothing could be done so late in the evening. We then asked for a Fire Extinguisher just in case something happened during the night, then they asked us why we needed it!!! They brought us one in the end, it expired in 2018! The next morning, we were told that they guy that serviced it forgot to put the sticker on but had no evidence that it was serviced and checked from 2018 onwards! The owner offered to give our money back for the third night we were supposed to stay there and to rebooked for us elsewhere. We opted to book our own place in the end because it was more cost effective and far nicer than the one, she wanted to book for us. So, we feel it is unsafe to stay there and that they should get a qualified electrician to sort out their electricity problems. Needless to say, we will not make use of them ever again.

The price was too high. The accomodation was neat and clean, but old / outdated. Was more like a room in grandma's house.

Reasonably accessible location, private access to room, plenty of cupboard space, comfortable bed, neat and clean. Towels and soap provided. Microwave, fridge, kettle with complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk. good quality toilet paper. Very pleasing overall.

The lamp in the room had exposed wires and would smoke when we put it on so we had to change it around within the room so that it would not be used
