The bedroom was modern and bright. The room and bedding were very clean.

The flat was on the top floor. Quite a climb.

I made the reservation for a friend of mine. On the first day, I went upstairs to help her and saw the room myself. She mentioned that the cleanliness and location were fine. However,

The room is extremely small and low-ceilinged, which made my friend feel claustrophobic. The access is also quite dangerous — the stairs are very steep, and at the top, there is a platform with no railing or any kind of protection. It is very easy for someone to fall, which poses a serious safety concern. Additionally, the listing did not mention that the toilet would be shared. This was an unexpected and important detail that should have been clearly stated in the reservation.

BEWARE! This Business prioritises its profit over its customers It is unclear on Booking.com that most rooms share a single bathroom Building run down, although cleaners do their best. Many better places to rent in Lisbon at these prices 30mins by public transport from the centre of Lisbon. 15mins from Belém tourist attractions *Building: Cheap, poor-quality conversion. Small rooms, paper-thin walls. 3 flights of stairs (no lift). Enter to 4 rooms, shared kitchen/lounge, tiny bathroom shared by at least 5, up to 7, rooms (14 people). 4 more rooms with low ceilings built into eves above. Complaints of bad smells probably attributable to drainage system, given assertive sign not to flush toilet paper and the urinal cubes in the SINK! *My room (the wide-angle lens photos on Booking.com ad): Smallest of the 4 rooms I rented in Portugal. Black mould. 1 window shutter is broken allowing in light, cold air and noise from outside. Balcony rail dangerously rusted. Paper-thin walls = little sound insulation from other rooms. Door must be slammed, disturbing others. Room facilities are the bare minimum *Shared bathroom: Tiny. Shared by up to 14 people from both floors. Black mould in the shower, shower hand unit unserviceable, toilet paper stand rusty, inadequate rails/hooks for towels & clothes *Shared area: Bare minimum facilities, lighting not working, no kettle etc, microwave rusty inside. Even hostels provide breakfast! *Management & customer service: Beware! Dishonest owners! Many reviewers, conned by deceptive room descriptions on Booking.com, discover that ALL rooms on attached photo do NOT have a private bathroom. Forced to share the single tiny bathroom with up to 12 other people. Owners fully aware pretend otherwise and have done nothing to rectify room descriptions. Manager merely refers complainants to Booking.com, knowing that the real issue is the careful deception by the owners.

Reasonable price, have access to public transportation, not far from downtown

Space is not big, but enough for one person
