The Lookout Pai - Mountain View Hideaway

Lovely set up and wonderful hosts! The resident cat was extremely lovable and would come cuddle on our laps. Hot water was great and the room was spacious and clean. Highly recommend!

The cottage is nice and has all you need. Electric kettle, water and coffee is provided. Very quiet area surrounded by farms. There is a pub/restaurant nearby and one evening we could hear some loud music but it didn't last for too long. Owner is great and gave us very clear instructions on the directions and facilities. Very easy and quick communication. The place itself is surrounded by nature, but for the stunning views is best to go when it's lush green. We went in February and it was very dry, not much green in Pai. We stayed in bungalow and loved the room! It is african style which is just very cool!

I love the greenery surrounding the property and also the stunning view of the mountain. In the morning, I could see the fogs/clouds rolling off the hills, and then the sunshine slowly shome on the hill, producing an amazing light and shadow picture in front of me. The side windows can be completely open without facing any neighbours and it just faces the greenery. The kitchen is very handy and I could use the fridge and chopped up some fruits. I also made a hot drink once. I am a cat lover, so Sangsom the friendly cat is especially a highlight for our stay! I am missing him already. The place is a bit outside of the centre, yet still very reachable (just 5-10mins from walking street) by scooter. I love the tranquility of this place.

Very special accommodation. The atmosphere is nice and the decor lovely. Nevertheless, it could have been a bit cleaner.

The lookout Pai has instantly become my favorite place to stay, situated in the beautiful rolling hills of Pai, you will immediately feel the magic. I loved the furry friends that greet you on arrival - Make sure to give them a treat from the kitchen, they will be your guardians throughout your stay. The view is spectacular, you don't need to move an inch or worry about crowded viewpoints. The house is something out of a fairy tale, with a large bedroom filled with a comfortable bed, dresser, sofa, trinkets, games and books. The bathroom is a wonder on its own - enjoy the views ;) Tot and Cat manage the property making sure that your every need is met. They are both friendly and caring hosts who on more than one occasion helped us with anything we requested or needed to know. Those who are lucky enough to experience this magical slice of Pai will be well taken care of :)

I loved my stay at The lookout Pai! The room was gorgeous and clean and they're three beautiful dogs and a very chilled cat for fellow animal lovers! You will need a bike as the location is a little out, but the owner dropped me off in the centre to rent one, which was very kind of her! ☺️ I loved how quiet it is and listening to the sounds on a nighttime. Really good value for money ❤️

The view was quite nice, as well as the interieur

We found a number of disadvantages due to which we would not come again. First of all, we noticed that the bathroom has no ceiling, so it is part of the main room. Accordingly, it is unpleasant to use the bathroom when there are two of you, as you can hear and smell everything. Thew contact with the owner was unfortunately not good. Our toilet didn’t work and so we told the owner. She called the gardener to fix it. She texted me that he fixed it and when we got home, nothing changed. When the gardener was coming again, we had to drive home from our trip. Unfortunately the floor on the toilet was dirty because of the problem, so we asked the owner if the cleaning lady could clean the floor. When the cleaning lady was there we weren’t at home and the cleaning lady couldn’t come in because she doesn’t have the key (we didn’t know that). Then she said the cleaning lady will come tomorrow at 8 am. So we waited in the morning but after 45 minutes she was still not here. The bungalow we slept in is next to a small street. Since there is no insulation, you can hear everything. Every moped drives past your bed and sleeping longer is not possible, because it is extremely loud from sunrise due to all the animals that make noise. In addition, there are slits everywhere on windows and doors where mosquitoes and animals come in. We were there for five days. There was no room service. no one to take out the garbage (even in the bathroom) or bring new toilet paper (we had to ask the owner). There is no air conditioning. In retrospect, we are very disappointed, as we would have expected much more for the price. When we addressed the owner about the problems and asked for a partial refund, she has accused us even for a damage that we have not caused. I think you are better off staying somewhere else and besides you save money.
