The location was ideal, and the manager was very kind and friendly. You would be hard pressed to find a better value for the money in Amed.

If I had to pick one thing that I’d like to see them improve on, it would be to eventually add mini-fridges in the rooms.. other than that, the property was fantastic

No hot water (has room temp) nor good water pressure, lots of mosquitoes, furniture (especially bathroom) breaking apart. But these are minor things, generally a very good choice.

There's more to be happy about with this property, than there are things to be unhappy about. Yes, like previous reviewers said, it's a bit run down. The rooms could use new paint. But I don't care about that. There is a lot of space in the rooms, more than is typical. So that is nice. The hotel is right on the beach. Could not be any better. It is the beach entrance in the center of town, so a handful of tourists come to visit it throughout the day. It is right next to the main convenience store, which has the ATM. Very convenient. It is walkable to all of the restaurants. The pool is nice, and there's a basic outdoor shower to wash off from the beach. THe AC in my room blasted cold, never had issues. Previous reviewer complained about that, I do believe it has been fixed. The kitchen exists. Mask and snorkal were available to borrow. There are some mosquitos, but they never actually bit me. I usually get bit, I don't know why these didnt bit me, but they didn't.

The kitchen didn't have microwave, and all of the knives were pretty dull. The cooking situation was a little challenged. Would recommend for food storage, but not ideal if youre cooking every meal. Oh. yeah there were a lot of noises. There's the typical Bali chickens cockdoodledoodling, which is acceptable to me. What I didn't like was that one particular creature, I never figured out if it was a chicken, he had the most ridiculous chirp that always woke me up, because he would walk right up to my room. The biggest downside to this property, and the only reason that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the shower pump. There are 3 buildings, 2 stories, 2 units each, except for the one with the kitchen. The building I stayed at had a broken water pump. It's super annoying because anytime someone upstairs used the water, the pump would turn on. And the pump has some issue, so it struggles to cycle and makes a loud noise. And this also means that when you use it to take a shower, it pulsates. If youre planning on using the shower to take long showers, it's not going to happen. I dont know if this pump goes to all of the buildings, but I assume it does.

Really central in Ahmed, the facilities are basic but all the main things are there and work properly (AC, pool, hot water). The owner is the kindest person around and is always ready to help
