Excellent breakfast at the Beach Good to have fridge in room with fresh milk and bottled water

Edgcumbe restaurant closed had to negotiate refurbishment on ground floor (painters and ladders) keypad to get in at 9.30pm no-one had told me code so had to find someone at the Beach hotel

Location, team and breakfast is great!

ACHTUNG! Das HOTEL IST GESCHLOSSEN wegen Bauarbeiten!!!! Und dies offenbar schon länger! Hatte 2 Monate im voraus gebucht und am Anreisetag zur Check in Zeit ein Telefonat bekommen, dass Sie uns als Gäste nicht beherbergen können. Stattdessen eine minderwertige Unterkunft angeboten, weil gemäss Aussage; alle anderen Hotels ausgebucht sind. Was dann auch nicht stimmte.

Kommunikation irreführend!!!! Ein paar Tage vor der Anreise Anfragen vom Hotel bekommen, um welche Zeit wir ein checken würden. Hatte geantwortet und eine Antwort zurück bekommen zur Bestätigung unser Ankunftszeit! Dafür war zu diesem Zeitpunkt das Hotel schon GESCHLOSSEN!

Very friendly staff, very clean rooms

Staff were welcoming and helpful…no lift and helped with luggage upstairs. Room was just what I needed, plus there was a fridge with fresh milk and cans of water. Breakfast had a huge choices…I had to ask for a smaller portion! Location…five minutes to town centre. No through traffic so very peaceful. Terrace with sea view in Cornwall. First time in Bude and I hopefully will be back.

Nothing, except I was one of the last residents at the hotel as it’s been for the last twenty odd years. The family owned hotel has been sold and taken over by another very good hotel nearby. Good luck to the new owners and a huge thank you to the family who are moving on.

Very clean throughout, spacious room, quirky beach hut / seaside decor in public areas, staff SO very kind and friendly, good breakfast.

Just the limited parking and tricky road system (but that’s the area NOT a reflection on the hotel itself)

Room had no curtains just blinds so woken up at 6am

Location was good. Staff seemed nice. Breakfast good

The Room was not great. At all. We had been in a five star hotel earlier in the week and paid a similar cost to this hotel. In short it felt like a bed sit. Trip and Clash hazards in the rooms. No security/ safe. Room facilities lacking. No wardrobe. Bathroom shocking, it was a nightmare to use, shower useless, very small,sink tiny, soap/ Shampoo dispensers didn’t work, toilet like a caravan toilet and noisy, drains stunk. Blinds did not close. Heaters would not come on. All in all not what was advertised and not worth nearly £200 a night.
