Up a hill with a beautiful view over Cusco, sits the unassuming property of Salome, who lives on site with her husband and son. Simple and rustic, the room provides you with all the necessities. The bed was comfortable and warm, and the private bathroom had super hot water, which I appreciated especially, as Cusco can get cold at night. Salome is most wonderful and helped with recommendations and even invited me over for a chat with some tea and home made pancakes. Breakfast in the mornings is simple, but good. There is a common area upstairs where I worked and enjoyed the view. Salome was so caring and I was really sad to leave, she took me in like a daughter. Great value for your money.

A few "good to know" comments: I recommend bringing ear plugs and an eye mask, as there is no blackout curtains. You can also hear people walk around upstairs, but when I mentioned that to Salome, they were more aware and it helped. There is no real window that you can open to let some air in, so it can smell a bit musty. Like most places in Peru, there is no insulation, so it can be quite cold inside. Be aware that you have to walk uphill and climb a few stairs to get to the place from downtown. I did not have altitude sickness, but was definitely short of breath and struggled with the walk back (more than I like to admit). There are, however, buses that you can take back to the property and Salome explains that at check in. Salome does not speak English, but google translate will work, if you don't speak Spanish.

I recently stayed at Feliz Vista Hospedaje in Cusco, and I can't praise it enough. The hosts, Marco and Salome, went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The facilities were immaculate and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and supportive environment. Marco and Salome helped us with everything, from ordering food to offering medical support when one of my friends fell ill. They personally drove him to the hospital and provided necessary medicines. The breakfast was fantastic, although we only had it during 2 days because our tours were departing very early. Coke tea and hot water was always available with a variety of delicious options to start our day. Their kindness and prompt assistance with any request made our experience unforgettable. Salomé is a great host. We spent a good time in her place. Everything was perfect. :)

Hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to check in early after arriving on a night bus. They were so kind and friendly. Place is super clean, delicious breakfast that also included eggs and fruit.

We loved this place and stayed here twice. The owner is an awesome lady who was so helpful and kind. Breakfast was made with love and care every morning. Hot water for tea was in constant supply. The rooms are so clean and the beds comfortable. The location is up a hill which means the shared seating area has the best view of Cusco and the surrounding hills. If the walk up the hill is too much, the Batman bus runs super frequently all day and costs just 1 soles each way. The area is really quiet at night and feels safe. A few dogs may bark at you but there was no harm in any of the dogs we met in that area. As usual for Cusco, the rooms are not heated but there is an abundance of blankets on the beds and more are available if needed.

The showers were not very powerful but they were consistently warm.

If you wanna be accommodated in a warm and friendly house, this is the one! Salome and his son helped us every time we needed info. They were so open and attentive to our needs which were to be heartly appreciated. The room was very simple: a bed, a table, a chair and a bedside table, but very, very clean and big enough. The breakfast was excellent every morning prepared by Salome: tea, coffee, milk, fresh juice, bread, omelette, ham, avocado, jam, butter and fruits. The shower had hot water every time we needed. 10 minutes to the center by foot and 15 or 20 minutes when coming up ( some stairs to be climbed ). A common terrace with a view over the city both during the day and the night. We weren't able to go to Machu Picchu because of the strikes at the end of January 2024, but Salome was so kind and arranged us to visit the Sacred Valley with just a few hours before the 1-day trip; many thanks for this as well.

A super comfortable stay with a great and super involved host. Through flight delays i arrived in the dead of night and was greated and taken care of without a hitch. Also booked my machu picchu trip through the host and had a great and really well priced experience. Greatly recommend.

Not a criticism just information: The location is a 7min leasure walk downhill from the central Plaza. Not a problem at all. Due to the slightly out of way location it's really tranquil and silent so you get a great nights sleep.
