Blue Moon Guesthouse

Very clean! Large room and bathroom with useful shared kitchen and eating area, fridge, cooker, tea/coffee/biscuits..plus large outdoor courtyard for relaxing. The young staff were really friendly and helpful.

No wardrobe but no big deal as hangers and drawers were in the room.

The patio was a wonderful place to enjoy our morning coffee and happy hour wine. The young couple in charge were very helpful with recommendations and kept the facilities spotless. Easy walk to bus station and the main attractions and restaurants.

Very nice spacious rooms, however the beds were a bit hard. We mentioned it to the hosts and they provided a foam mattress for each bed which was great. Only problem was the street noise can be a bit much, but other than that a terrific place to stay. Highly recommended.

Stairs, but the hosts let us use the staff entrance that has less stairs. On a very busy street, about a very busy restaurant.

Customer service 👌 Jose and team/family super responsive. Always have a positive response and provided fair accommodating assistance to your needs Facilities 👌 couldn’t ask for more from a guest house. If breakfast inclusive was an option I didn’t see and probably wouldve opted out as I usually do. We needed beach towels and do some printing all available for a very small charge. Cleanliness 👌everything was super clean. So lovely to come back to a clean and homely property and room where everything is working fine. Location 👌if you want to be in the thick of it old town style, this is it!! Walking distance to everything!! We were only there for two days so didn’t want to be traversing back and forth. Shops and restaurants everywhere and on your doorstep. Supermarket as well and beaches too. It’s not beach front obviously but they are all in walking distance or + walk to bridge or take the crossing ferry to get to beaches on other side of river/estuary. If you just want to stick around Lagos and don’t have a car. This is it. Price 👌 honestly for peak season and booking very very last minute this was great value in comparison to what was available. I didn’t want hostel, I wanted private bathroom, i wanted clean and comfortable personal space, I wanted near shops and beaches and got it. Sometimes you see pics, read property descriptions, read reviews and get disappointed but at blue moon 🌑 I was pleasantly surprised.

I loved everything, but just so you know… some rooms face the main strip and it can get music and people noisy from the nearby bars . The windows cancel out some of the noise but not entirely. It didn’t bother me too much but light sleepers might struggle. If you like to wash with a lot of body wash or soap take your own. There was enough for me but if my partner didn’t have his own stuff we might’ve had to buy products.
