Boyne House Slane

Amazing room with - a first for me! - a chaise longue. The room was huge, about the same size as the footprint of my house. Very quiet and peaceful night. Owing to a wedding, the restaurant was closed to other guests, so the receptionist booked us a table in a nearby town and arranged a taxi, the only downside being a €60 return fare in the taxi.

Shower was rather violent. The handset sprayed water over 10 feet across the bathroom to create a pool of water. Not a huge problem but shouldn't really have happened.

Breakfast ok but the food in the restaurant in the evening was awful.

Better dinner menu and quality of food

The breakfast was fine. The room and bed was comfortable.

The shower was dirty. There were places in the bedroom that hadn’t been vac for a long time. Peanuts on the floor.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, die immer mit guten Informationen und einer Tasse Tee zur Stelle war. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig in schöner Umgebung gelegen. Danke, Kate für die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft und das leckere Frühstück.

Tolle Kommunikation wg Ankunftszeit und Schlüsselübergabe, Die wunderschöne gepflegte Anlage rund ums Haus, der kurze Verbindungsweg zum Hotel, wo es Abendessen und Frühstück gibt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Kingsize Bett gebucht, das Zimmer und das Bad waren riesig und absolut liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Man kann zwar aus einer Karte verschiedene Frühstückskombinationen wählen, aber frei verfügbar waren nur Toast, Jam, Marmelade und Cerealien sowie Saft. Etwas Käse oder Wurst wären fein gewesen. Die heiße Schokolade, die mit Wasser angemacht war, mussten wir bezahlen.

We stayed in Room 2. We were not expecting what we saw the minute we opened the door. High ceilings, comfortable bed, huge bathroom. The bathrobes were a little treat.

We did love the room and could not fault it only for the lack of body wash/ soap. There was no shelf either in the shower to put body/shampoo/conditioner wash on.
