Salado Cottage Retreat near Downtown

Perfect location!

The comfort!

I would have liked a cooktop and a mini fridge with a freezer.

Great location, great view, and comfortable bed. You will see lots of deer, and Salado is a very quaint/fun place to stay. I traveled for work and it was ideal. The owner also went above and beyond to get me an itemized receipt that my employer was requesting (it was a work trip).

The grounds were great. They were well maintained. Beautiful. It is a very relaxing pastoral setting. The deer roamed free. It was great to sit outside listening to the birds. It was also very private and was conveniently located to the wedding venue I attended. It was a great place to relax.

There were no grab bars at the tub. The tub was beautiful, but It was not a tub for an elder or handicap person. Getting in and out was difficult. The shower was awesome.

Clean, open, spacious and nicely decorated. Beautiful grounds and a nice area for a fire.

Beautiful room, with all accommodations needed if you want just to stay in for a break of our daily lives like we wanted.

At the main entrance during the day, the light came in. It was not a deal breaker, but a curtain could have kept the room darker.

Quiet peaceful nice walking around it

Microwave was a problem but really I was tired and decided to eat it cold. I am sure if I asked I would have been helped but it was late.

Owners were so great, place was amazing

Near perfection! From the immaculately clean cottage to the deer grazing on the lawn: I couldn’t have asked for more.
